Watching fireworks from Contemporary after CG closes

Does anyone know what is going to happen to watching fireworks from Contemporary after CG closes for renos? I can't find any info. I suspect the catwalk will be closed along with the rest of CG? Guess there's always the 4rth Floor.

I'm guessing that the only option people will have is the 4th floor, like you already stated. There would be no way for anyone to get to the catwalk without going through the restaurant first.

What about the walkway (bridge?) from Contemporary to BLT? We watched it from up there a couple years ago and it was very good.

Can anyone go onto the bridge, or just BLT guests? I've always wondered about watching them there but figured you'd have to insert a room key to enter.

Did they pipe in the music on the walkway? I quite liked that on the catwalk.

You need to be a BLT guest to access the bridge as your key card is what unlocks the doors.

Yup. But, the view from the 4th floor viewing area of the Contemporary is available to anyone and is just as good as the view from the BLT walkway.

I guess I should have asked if they pipe in the timing-adjusted music on the 4th Floor as well or do you just see the fireworks? I'm missing CG already and it isn't even closed yet!

A note about the 4th floor...I have watched from both there and the CG, and the CG view is infinitely better. On the 4th floor, the monorail track is just above your head, and can partially block your view if you're not standing in the right place. And, anytime a monorail comes into the station, you get its bright light and noise. If you decide to view from here, I recommend getting there early so you can hold a good spot. One nice thing is that you can go to the QS place near Chef Mickey's and grab a snack to enjoy while you're waiting. We got soft serve and it hit the spot

Personally, though, if you aren't staying at BLT, I'd just skip the Contemporary altogether while CG is closed and head for the GF, Poly, or Fort.
