Host Resorts- Do they change? - The DIS Discussion Forums

So I'm doing the early leg work for a Wine and Dine trip for a potentially large group. But before I present price options, I just wanted to confirm that the Host Resorts generally stay the same so that the buses are an option for us if we stay on site.

I'm also going to run numbers to stay at a Windsor Hills condo, but i just want to be accurate with all of our options.

We did W&D this past year and some of the resorts stayed the same as the previous year, but a big change (for us as DVD members) was they switched from OKW in 2011 to SSR in 2012.

So yes, they have made some changes in the past.

Not sure if they W&D half is the same as marathon weekend but we didn't stay at a host resort and had no problems with buses. I would think that there would be buses running from every resort just like that weekend.

For Marathon weekend ALL the Disney resorts were considered host resorts.

I also noticed a switch in host resorts for W&D from 2011 to 2012. POR was in 2011, but not in 2012. So yes, they will switch it up from time to time.
