photos in Crystal Palace

So, my niece is having her birthday while we're on vacation at WDW...and she will not be with us. Last year, the same thing happened when we were at DL. We had dinner at the Disneyland Hotel and had each character who came to our table (Goofy too!) hold up a sign we brought with us that said "Happy Birthday" with our niece's name on in.

I was thinking we could do the same thing at Crystal Palace this year. Has anyone had experience with this? Will the characters do this? How about more traditional meet and greets? Don't know if anyone would tell us we couldn't.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if the characters will hold them, but I have seen people hold up their own signs in pictures with characters.

Thanks - I'll let my adorable 8 year old hold the sign. No one can say no to her. :-)

You know, any other character meal I would say it surely would be no big deal but we have had so many cranky characters at CP over the years (and nowhere else) that I wonder if they would, LOL (we had a Pooh who refused to sign multiple autograph books once) I hope they are willing, it is such a sweet idea.

We just did something like this in Jan. We had a sign that said "Feel Better Soon". We were creating autograph books for our local Children's hospital. All of the Pooh characters at CP posed for us. In fact, every single character we approached were very willing to pose with the sign. The only issue - Lady Tremaine insisted one of us had to be in the picture too. But as we posed, we heard her whisper, "Thanks for doing this for them". Several years ago, I missed a birthday trip with friends and they had the characters hold a birthday sign. They then turned it into a calendar as a wonderful present. The calendar in my kitchen will always so 2009!
