Swan vs Dolphin deathmatch!!

I need to choose and have no clue! 2 adults no children for two nights.

I've recently been doing this same debate for my own party of two adults and I've decided on the Swan. It seemed in my research that families with kids prefer the Dolphin because it's closer to the big pool and it overlooks Epcot. The non-king rooms in the Swan have queen beds, and in the Dolphin they are double beds. Also, we plan to spend some evening time at the Boardwalk to go to Jellyrolls, and the Swan is ever-so-slightly closer to that. Not a major swaying point, but since they are so similar I was looking for minor things. Hope this helps!

Stayed at Swan last year - agree with what poster above said. Dolphin has the pool on-site (but two minute walk from Swan), more dining options, smaller beds. Swan closer to Boardwalk. We picked Swan only because that was the one on special (Priceline). They are basically the same all-in-all and I'd choose the lesser expensive of the two. We didn't like the dining options in the hotels but you can walk to Boardwalk/Epcot. Although Swan had individual Starbucks coffee brewers in the room which was nice - no yucky coffee pot situation and you had free, quality coffee every morning.

We don't see enough of a difference between these two hotels to matter. Flip a coin or go with whichever has the lower rate.

I've stayed at both many times & go with whichever has the better rate. Now if I HAD to pick, if I was with kids, I'd choose Dolphin only because it has the only quick service food between the two, it has the only laundry room between the 2, and also is closer to the main pool area. If it was just adults it really wouldn't matter to me at all.

Thanks everyone. I'm leaning towards the swan- queen beds sound way better. A king would be perfect though.

We used to be frequent guests of the S/D but I always favored the Swan, more than anything it was because it was smaller which made it easier to navigate. I recall some of the walks through the Dolphin just seemed to go on and on and on...however that being said, the Dolphin is more lively (if you like that), I actually like the more relaxed atmosphere of the Swan and we also like the location being closer to the BW.

Even though the Dolphin is closer to the grotto pool it wasn't that much of a big deal. I remember spending plenty of time at the lap pools which are both right outside each hotel. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that they are a 3 min walk from each other. We always went to the restaurants at the Dolphin when we stayed at the Swan.

Some mourning going on in my house. Last year I tried to convince the Swan/Dolphin that RI should get Super Bowl rate because they are the New England Patriots. That wasn't successful. To the OP, I would book a king bed at whichever resort is less expensive, which will probably be the Dolphin.

We have stayed at both and both are great. With kids, we prefer the Dolphin because it has more of the things, like quick service food and ice cream shop and arcade, and better proximity to the Grotto pool and playground, that we want for the kids. If it were an adults only trip, I would say go with the Swan if a smaller quieter hotel with slightly larger beds appeals to you. We have found that Swan rates are slightly higher than Dolphin rates, so that might be a factor as well. Sevice was excellent at both hotels.
