DLH Suites

We have a 2 bedroom suite booked at the DLH for 4 nights at the beginning of March. They do not specify a view for the suites and this can not be upgraded. Is there a standard view for these rooms or should I be requesting something special? Any experiences or opinions would be super helpful. Thanks!

We have stayed in their suites a few times, and will be staying in a one bedroom suite in Sept. My suggestion would be for you to ask for the Frontier tower, view of DCA & DTD.

Reason, you get a balcony and a great view of the fireworks from your suite.

The suites themselves are in all three towers, however the ones in the Frontier tower come with the balcony.

Have fun

If you wouldn't mind, how much was the price for the 2 bedroom suite?

Great Advice! Should I make this specification upon check in or am I allowed to call Disney and add the preference to my reservation?

Call and make a request, soon.

They of course will not 100% say you will get your request, but they do take it into consideration.

Everytime we have booked a suite, and asked for the frontier tower facing DCA we have been granted our request, so no harm in calling and adding it to your preferance list. But don't wait until you check in, by then the rooms have been assigned, they do this a week out on your reservation.

I have a 2 bedroom booked for Aug at the DLH. We are paying about 800/night. That was with our AAA discount which I think is 10% off the rack rate at that time. It is the more expensive season so it might be less in the off time. We have only stayed in the one bedroom suites prior to this visit. HTH.

Looks like the prices/night are dropping off from a couple years ago.

I believe it worked out to a near average of about $900/night. Its hard to tell exactly as it was part of a vacation package.

THe grand is a LOT more though. I stayed in a one bedroom in 2010 and considered it again this year. It was 978-1300 night for the one bedroom during our stay (That includes the AAA discount). I saved $2000 by going for the two bedroom at DLH! I, personally, like DLH better anyway (hubby loves the grand though). We are a larger family and Disney never guarantees the connecting rooms, so we either do the suite or take a risk of being separated. For the $$ the DLH was a no brainer. Esp. considering we are not going in an off season this time AND it is two bedrooms vs one and I won't have a kid in a sleeping bag on the floor again (like we did in 2010).

Thanks. We've stayed at the PPH in a one bedroom suite that was cheaper than getting two rooms, just wondered if the two bedroom was cheaper than getting 3 rooms.

The 2 bedrooms at PPH are HARD to come by and book up really fast. I priced two rooms at DLH and that ended up being the same price as the 2 BR at DLH
