I kind of wonder if it is because of a certain expectation
I'd say go for it!

It actually took me about 30 minutes to even access the site - I think their servers were completley bogged down. Crazy!

I can't believe its sold out already!!!
Maybe I'll do the 10k, but that might be sold out before I make a decision.
Do they ever open more spots?

Wow! I knew the DDD would fill up fast but that's insane. I sure hope my friends and family register for what events they want to do quickly! So glad I took the plunge an registered at the Expo. I would have missed it completely otherwise!

I had the same thing happen to me...the site said DDD was 95% full but then when I started registering it said sold out. Five minutes later I saw that the 10K was at 90% so I hurried and registered for it and the half. So, no special DDD medal but I'll do as much running as they did and count my trip as the medal! I even emailed runDisney to see if they might possibly open more spots...But I seriously doubt it. Maybe next year, I'll get in. Should never have scheduled an appointment for the time that registration opened! Duh!

According to the RunDisney fb page, the DDD & 10k are both at capacity. In the future, spots will open up for groups & charity's.

Watch the website, last year there were a whole bunch of charities that had spots. Get Travel, the site that does the park tix, also had spots if you did a some package through them.

WOW!! That is insane. I can't believe they sold out so quickly! I am happy I got in when I did I guess. I thought the cost of the DDD would prohibit some from the race. Especially after on the Dis podcast last week (or was it the week before?) they complained about the price. I guess I am not the only crazy one who went for it!

Having just done the Goofy 2 weekends ago, I also signed up to do the Dumbo in September! Good thing I registered on Sat with my AP early registration because I certainly would have missed it given that the Dumbo filled up within an hour!

Has anyone done the pasta in the park? Wondering what it is like? Seems like a steep price? Anyone done it before? What are the food options like? Also, what parade is it? It says parade seating but it doesn't start until late. I don't remember a late parade at Disneyland (At WDW, yes but not at DL). Just curious to see if it is worth the spurge for all 6 of us or better to forgo it. Thanks!

I have not done it, and opted to skip due to the price. But, if somebody has done it, and there is something really amazing, let me know & I will do it.

I'm not doing it either. There are a billion other places at DLR that serve pasta. I *did* find it interesting that they are serving alcohol at Disneyland though. I didn't think I'd ever see that aside from a private party.

We had decided not to do the races because of the cost. Got an email that registration had opened and talked to my hubby about how much I was regretting that decision. So we hopped on to the website (with a lot of waiting) and somehow got registered for the double dare before it sold out! Feeling kind of lucky we got in!

Officially registered for the Half

REALLY bummed that the DDD was already sold out. I live in Hawaii and work the overnight shift so I wasn't able to be online right when registration opened. Who knew it would be full in just a few hours

But, I am still really excited for the half. This will be my second RunDisney event!

In for the Dumbo, signed up last weekend through the Disney Visa link. DW signed up for the Dumbo at the expo on Saturday. So glad we both got in!
