I am amused to see that they are using the Manhattan Club. My parents own a week there. Its is a very nice location (though there is a Hooters across the street). If you have free time, I suggest going to Petrossian Cafe just a block or two north on 7th Avenue. The french bread is delicious on its own. Pastries are really good too.

We are booked on the June 20th, and we are really looking forward to it this is our first Adventure by Disney trip, hopefully more to come. Saw it on facebook.

Just talked to ABD...the July 3rd Adventure is 70% booked. WooHoo! Do not want it to be canceled!!!!!!!!!

We were booked for June 20th unfortunately not enough interest for that one so we are now going July 3rd, we are really looking forward to our first Adventures by Disney trip.

we just got a postcard in the mail about this trip yesterday. They were only advertising the July 3 date. Funny that I hadn't heard about it before now (haven't been on the boards lately). The thing that makes it worthwhile are the backstage access visits--the other things can be done easily on your own. Just went to NYC in January and saw Newsies--it was fantastic!!!!!

We have seen Newsies six times. :

: we happen to adore Jeremy Jordan and have been following his career! We are in NYC right now, seeing Laura Osnes (Jeremy's co-star in "Bonnie & Clyde") in "Cinderella" tonight!!

Even coming to NYC often, as we do, I'd still take this tour if I could! (We aren't DVC members boo). ;-)

There was an advert in the newest DVC magazine Dis Files that I just got. They are advertising all 3 dates for the family trip.

8K for a family of 4 is awfully steep.

Just called Member Services and was told ALL six trips are totally booked.

Here's hoping they offer it next year. I hope we hear some good feedback from those going. I would really love to go in 2014. I have never been to NY and it's been on my bucket list for many years.

When they announced the trip on the member cruise, we were told if the trip was successful they would offer it again next year and it would be available to everyone, not just DVC members. They evidently wanted a DVC exclusive trip for only the first year and wanted it maxed out at 160 points.

So is there a generally accepted idea of how much 160 points is worth? So we could get an idea of what the price might be for the rest of us next year? I'd love to do this trip!

One point is usually rented at $10 pp. I think the point allotment for this trip is on the low side compared to the current points for the other ABDs so i don't know if that is a promo point value since its somewhat a trial.

Okay, I just reviewed the points chart and noted that the NY trip is only 4d/3n thus the lower point allotment.

Same here! We had the Oct Adults Only booked but my daughter is expecting and due around then so we cancelled..earlier this year we had booked to go in April and stuff came up so we cancelled that too (just sold my Newsies tickets through Stub Hub

) so REALLY hope this trip comes up again!

PS..when we booked we paid cash..not points..and it priced out about $3,300 for both of us..plus had the $95 fee

I want to say the trip was $1599 for an adult and $1519 for a child.
