ABD New York Dreams - DVC Only
ABD and DVC announced the New York Dreams trip on the Member Cruise last week. 3 nights/4days in NYC. We signed up for the July 3rd Adventure. Is anyone else going?

So you can only take this trip if you're a DVC member? That makes me sad!
![]() I haven't seen anything about it. Is there somewhere we can see what this trip involves? Sayhello

I can't find it mentioned on the DVC site either. It was announced as DVC only this year and if it is successful it will be opened to all next year. Not totally sure on that one either. Details are sketchy. The flyer we have only has a few things mentioned (they mentioned more in the seminar).
160 reservation points or $1599/adult; $1519/child Hotel: Manhattan Club - we are booked for a one room suite (King size bed with a Queen sofa bed) Activities start at 8:30a.m. the first day (they suggest you fly in the night before and I think the pre night was around $291). * See the city come alive in ways you never dreamed of on THE RIDE, a whirlwind adventure where you'll see Manhattan's most iconic sights: Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Madison Avenue, the Chrysler Building and Radio City Music Hall. * Be dazzled by the bright lights of Broadway with an interactive experience with props from actual Broadway shows. * Learn choreography from a Broadway musical and then enjoy NEWSIES on stage followed by the opportunity to meet some of the cast members. * Gain VIP backstage access to Good Morning America at Disney's Times Square Studios, where you'll see firsthand what's involved in making one of the country's most-watched shows come together seamlessly each and every day. * Step back in time and explore on of New York's most unique neighborhoods on the historic Harlem Heritage Tour, a guided walking excursion led by a true-blue Harlem local, with a stop at the world-famous Apollo Theater. * Your guided tour continues with a walk through Central Park, stopping along the way to see iconic sights like the Alice and Wonderland sculpture. ********* Not mentioned on the flyer - breakfast in the theatre where Lion King is performed. Also, dinner and exclusive access to the Tenement Museum complete with costumed guides.

Sounds very cool. I'd do it! Please let us know when you hear anything more about it! (Or when you go).

I would call Member Services. I know they didn't fill up the dates (at least that is what they told us). The Adult Only date was filling up faster so they added a second Adult Only date but that is all we were told. The flyer I have is just something done on a color printer. Nothing spectacular - it even has some major typos. We did get confirmation from DVC of booking a couple of days ago and I got the ABD documents emailed me to vs. sending a package on Friday.

Thanks Disney Cruisin! I just called and booked the July 3 date so we will see you there. Sounds like they are counting on word of mouth and trip info spreading since there is no info yet on either DVC or ABD. Did you book the night before at the Manhattan Club since it starts so early that following morning? We are about 2 hours away by train but I think I will book that day before. For those interested there are 5 available dates - June 13, 20 July 3, 18 and August 8. I was so happy to see this thread. We are dvc members and have done ABD but didn't get any info so your information is great. Can't wait. We have been to NYC many times but this will be alittle diferrent and lots of fun. Thanks again!

Claire Bilby asked for a DVC only trip back in September on the September Member Cruise. She wanted: max of 160 points, a cool destination with a story to tell, an Adult-Only date and dates where families could go. This was the result of that wish list. The person who put the trip together claimed she was only given three weeks to do it all. We had added on to our membership and wanted to do something other than the parks or cruise. We looked at another Adventure and would have had to pay for two vs. one so we put it off for another year. When I went down to Member Central to book this they couldn't do it right then and there. They had to send an email to ABD and it took about 5 days for the confirmation to come through. That kind of told us ABD wasn't ready to book either. It just seemed a little out of sorts for DVC or ABD. If anyone is interested, I would call DVC. They claimed they weren't booking fast, except for the Adult Only Adventure, but I've talked to several folks who booked it on the family dates.
