August flights are down by nearly £300!

http://www.kayak.co.uk/#/flights/MAN...ldren-13-9-5-2

hope this can help someone. direct flights are down £300 from the £1000 p/per they were a week ago!

for us we would still fly indirect as it saves our family over £1000 (money better spent on tickets)

I know people who booked over £1000pp. Told them to wait but wouldn't. Even cheaper if you pay in $'s, seen some under £800pp tonight, looking into booking for relatives.

Yes I saw some around that price also! The ones I found, once I followed net flights through were not available but had them for £820 ish. I'm hanging on for a while longer if direct come down to under £600 we will do that if not we will go indirect! Or if we are unlucky holding off it will be benidorm! Lol

I just checked for our dates in Aug and flying direct is £1289! I guess that's what happens when you have to book specific dates!

We paid that for April, for that exact reason

vh-£4800+, with 1 stop on return flight
va-£5400+

same dates 2014
vh- flydrive-£4500+

We will not go either unless the flights come down, I would pay the indirect price at the min which is £3000 for the 6 of us but dh wants to see if direct flights come down as we have 2 under 5 an 9,12 yr old so would rather get on at man and off at ORL but we shall see! X

Reading this - I'm so glad to have booked when I did £2257.90 (everything all in inc. ATOL protection), for 5 adults indirect with United Airlines from Heathrow through Chicago - July 27th (and our dates were fixed too). Don't have to worry now. This was the lowest flight price we have ever paid, so jumped at it when it dropped (thanks to someone here on disboards!)
