I read a while back a thing about photopass sharing and meeting another family that is going and just sharing 1 account. I didn't like the idea ...you know strangers sharing a photopass account...
However, my best friend and her new husband are going to disney RIGHT after we leave Disney and so we talked about sharing an account and splitting the cost. Does Disney do anything to prevent this or can two families (that obviously know each other) share one account and get all their photos on the CD? I would be going with my family June 10-18th and she is doing from June 23rd - July 1st. Are there pros and cons to this I am unaware of? I really would love tons of photos on the CD to print when I have time to sift through them. As I understand it, no matter how many photos are on the account, they can all be put on the CD no matter how many CD's it ends up being. Thoughts and advice is appreciated! Thanks! |

I've read about this too. I'd like to know the answer as well.

They're not going to know or care if more than one family is sharing a CD.

1 family can use the pre-ordered PP card and the other can use a hand out card that the photographers provide you. When you get home, you can add cards to your account at the web site, but the pics will only be sorted chronologically on the CD and they will be divided park-wise on the site.

the timing is the only thing I"ll worry about - I think you would need to buy extended time on getting everything set up/edited - Your pics would be the ones deleted if they don't get theirs done from the 30 day mark of your first pic
also won't work with PP+ since that only works for 14 days

You can definitely do this with no problem. The only thing you need to make sure of is that you enter all of your photopass cards into the same account. If she puts hers into one and you into another, it won't work. You will need a joint userid and password. There is also a 30 day countdown from the date you first enter your cards to edit and pay, so if you come home first, make sure you leave your friend enough time to enter/edit after they return. When you receive the CD, you will have all the pictures, but its easy enough to sort them and give your friend a CD with just her pictures. I've done all of this before several times.

can you not buy an extension on the PP+ so you have more than 14 days?
or would it be easier/cheaper to just purchase the coaster photos separate?
