I am way behind here, but thank you to all who are answering questions. I've been either traveling or running around WDW this week. We made it to WL/CL on Wednesday morning and we have been having a fabulous, but busy vacation.

We ate at CC for lunch yesterday and I had the Birthday Cupcake, but the cute Minnie ring doesn't fit:

This is a special trifecta shot from the Red Flag boat to the MK yesterday. It includes the Ironman-orail, the ferry going into dry dock and the Tower:

I know it's over a year out and there is a lot of time for change, but us getting a Standard view room or not makes a difference in our budget and in our plans as a whole. And now I'm just curious as to what's going on!
I ended up booking GW Garden View just because I was nervous those would not be available either after some point. I'm going to keep checking for SV and hope that something opens up eventually.
Good Luck! I hope you get your room too!
For our upcoming trip in a couple of weeks, we determined we wanted GW Standard View early on when we planned our trip but it was never available. I was very obsessive about it and checked almost daily since the beginning of the year. Then, once the RO discounts came out there were suddenly GW Standard View available with our dates. I had already booked elsewhere so I called to switch and was able to get it with a 30% discount! Not sure if I just got lucky or if this is common.

I think we have found another great hotel. Only way we can afford it when they offer military specials. Two mor sleeps then we had back to the real world.

Wishes she could take photos of the castle as well as the photos DALE (of Chip & Dale) takes.
I wanted to regale you all with tales of my DH's saggy greyies

Who told you that? I have seen reports of CR rooms without working fridges. What room type are you in?

Thanks!!

So, if not booked in a TPV room, (we have a GW room), where is the best place at the CR to see the Wishes?

I have heard of the 4th floor outdoor area???

What about from the pool? Can you see Wishes (I'm guessing from over the tower)?

And also, the EWP. I'm sure you can stand on the beach and see it, but can you see that from the pool?

Just trying to note all opportunities. Most of the time we will just be in the park for it, but just in case.

Thanks!
