Mickeynut1...your trip sounds awesome! If we don't get BLT thru points then I am trying my best to convince DH to do split stay between CR and poly as I just cannot decide! Unless there is construction at gch then it will be all CR!

Thanks...I'm excited . I understand about your DH not wanting to do a split stay. We did a 2/4 split once and it just wasn't worth it for us. The first 2 nights went by so fast that we were checking into the 2nd resort before we knew it. Then once we were just feeling settled at the 2nd resort, it was time to pack up and fly home . Split stays work for some people no matter how many nights they stay, but for us, it wasn't worth it for such a short trip (but that's just US). I'm a little worried about how this next trip will go with so much moving around, but I think it will be worth it since I'll get to experience DCL as well as 2 other CLs at WDW. With that said, you might just love a split stay (if you can convince your DH ).

If we do room only discount..I am really leaning towards split stay! (DH will do whatever makes me happy in the end
If there is free dining it will be one resort to keep it cheaper...I just honestly cannot decide!!

have you booked your resorts yet or still waiting?

I think a split stay is a great idea if you do RO discount....that way you won't have to decide between the two . But I agree with you for FD, it is cheaper not to split since tickets have to be purchased with each resort. You can save one set of tickets for a future trip, but it does add extra cost to this trip and if FD is offered the next time you go, you're still in the same situation of needing tickets to take advantage of FD.

I have not booked yet, but I am thinking of booking this weekend. I guess I'm not in a big hurry to give Disney my money being our nights prior to the cruise is peak season and our nights after are holiday .....but I am getting close .

I'm looking at a split with 4 nights at CBR in a pirate room (package deal with tickets and dining) then RO at CR for 3 nights (and pay OOP for meals)...just not sure yet...or if I should just stick with CBR (and have 8 nights instead)...

That's good to know, although we would need two queens, but since you had a discount, it gives me hope.

One of those director type chairs with a flat leather sling across the back. I need a chair with back support as I have 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, MS and more problems. Anybody recently visited and can comment on any place to sit in the room. I cannot sit on a bed with a pillow behind my back either so that is a no go. Thanks
Besides the daybed that was mentioned, there is only one other office chair which is pictured in the photo that Katie posted today:

If I recall correctly, it does adjust up and down. There are also two chairs out on the balcony.

I hope you get to apply a discount soon.

Do any of the Garden Wing GV rooms have king beds? (Any of those that face Bay Lake?)

Yes, all of the rooms at CR have been rehabbed and look just like that one.

Yes, but I don't know how many there are, but I would imagine there are some that front Bay Lake. Kings are generally harder to book and/or request at many resorts.

Geez, Kook, I've been out of the Disney loop for so long that I did not even know CR had a refurb! It is quite nice, but I miss the days when Disney rooms did not look like any hotel room wherever. Miss the nice mouse touches on the walls etc. As younger imagineer designers get onboard, it seems things are becoming more generic ....of course, I would still enjoy a stay at any of my favorite resorts: Poly, WL, CR..yep..any day of the week would work just fine for me.

Thanks for the a great job here, BWI/V and WL/VWL threads!

Sooooo....I decided in the last hour to do split stay of 3 nights TPV CR (if discounted) and 4 nights at poly....just have to decide on which order to do what in. Am thinking cr first as we know we love the poly! Plus we will do MK day first and bbb before prk opening so walking there will be easy!

Wish I was going soon though
