Need Help with 1 night stay.
Recently booked a vacation in early August 2nd - the 10th. We usually take the first flight of the day and get to Disney as early as possible and when we leave we take the last flight of the night (for the most part), so we can spend as much time as possible in a park on the last day before we get back to the resort and get on the bus to the Airport.
WELL the flight price savings was quite substantial if I got an early Morning flight on the Morning of the 11th instead of the late flight on the 10th. So I booked the early morning flight for the 11th. This allows us to spend a whole day and evening in the parks on our last day instead of having to catch a flight and do a half day. BUT now we need to book a room for that last Night. My daughter is a castmember and gets a 40% discount on rooms, so we can really just get a AllStar room with the discount it would be about $85. and we are saving about $42 on each flight so the 4 of us will save $168 on airfare going on the 11th and if we get a room for $85 we still come out ahead and get more time at Disney. MY DILEMMA is do I want to step down to an AllStar, allthough we are only staying at Carribean Beach the room really doesnt matter, but how much trouble will it be getting luggage transferred and Magical express etc.. Or should I just add another night to the Carribean Beach stay to make it easy and at the most we would have to change rooms for 1 night at the same resort. Probably would be able to keep the same room if I booked a prefferred for that last night. I also thought why not get a Nice resort for the last night Like the Contemporary for the Monorail service and Magic Kingdom proximity. Or should I get a Value resort at Art of An which we never been to or even Pop Century that we never been to. AoA I hear has a great Pool? Not sure what to do and Money really is not the issue Im not a cheapO really booked the morning flight for the extra time in Disney so we can spend the entire night and get home at an early time when we arrive back home instead of the last flight of the night and being exhausted when we get back home. We still need to buy Park tickets for our stay if anybody has any suggestions. Like I said we are gonna arrive Aug 2 morning and depart Aug 11th Morn. So Aug 11th No activity at all basically wake up and go. So I was gonna buy a 7 day pass for all of us with park hopper and waterparks and more. So we will have 9 days and evenings at Disney we could do the parks for 7 of them and the water parks for 7 also but will probably only do 1 day at each water park which is why I only want to get 7 day passes. Plus we usually spend a day and a evening or 2 downtown. So 7 days in the parks should be plenty and could even do less at that time of year it is HOT and we could spend a full day at our resort pool. But 7 days is probably right and actually to up it to the full 9 day passes for the 4 of us is only an extra $100 so should I do that? Questions questions. Most important is the 1 night stand which is why I posted this in the resort Thread. Please Help!!

If it were me, I would just add another night to the existing reservation (if you can). Moving is a hassle, especially for just one night.
Just my $.02 worth......

I'd stay put at CBR for that last night. It's not worth the time to have to pack the luggage, have it moved to a new resort, unpack the necessities.

I agree also, If it was the beginning of the trip for 1 night then switch, I'd say go for it, but by end of trip you're worn out & you still plan to go to park on move day which would be hard in itself! I would only consider moving if it were to a deluxe for the last day & only if I made it a hotel day to take advantage of all the amenities. Like going to BC/YC & spending day at SAB & evening over at Boardwalk.

I'd stay put too, moving for last day to me isn't worth a little extra savings,

If you are like me and want to try another resort maybe do a split stay half and half . If not then I would just add another day to CBR. Since your not going until August there should be rooms still available at most resorts.

very tru but
This is true But on the other hand we would pack, check out of the 1st hotel, move to nhe new hotel, ansd just keep everything packed. So basically we are ready to go and do not have to do anything in the early AM. Just need something to sleep in and clothes for the travel day. something we can keep in 1 small bag. But I suppose we can do that either way weather or not we change resorts. I guess I will just let the wife decide!!!

You can have everything (that you won't need for the day) sent by the Bell Services as CBR to the Bell Services at the next resort. They will not be available until after official checkin time (they won't even be at the resort, but in transit), so be sure you have everything you need for the day! As for ME, just cancel the current reservation and make a new one to go back to the airport from the second resort.
