I can't remember the exact stop numbers but they are far closer than the ones for Pop. At MK it's the first stop on the right side. At HS it's the very first one that you walk out to next to the little building. At AK it's on the one closer to the entrace, and at Epcot I believe it's very close as well.
Thank you. That will help me decide where I want to do my room request and it will make the DH happy. Our last trip we called the walk to the Pop Century bus stop "The Pop Century Death March".

Hello All!! I am staying at AKV (Kidani Studio) for the first time in September and have a few questions.

I am having a hard time figuring out what to put in my room request. I don't want to be at the end of the earth. Should I just request a room close to the lobby? Is there even studio rooms near the lobby?

Also, I think I remember reading somewhere that Boma and Jiko did tours of the restaurants at 4pm before opening for dinner. Am I hallucinating or do they do this?

As I think of more questions, I will be sure to ask the experts here!

Congratulations! Arusha is the savannah inside the 'horseshoe'. A suggestion would be to ask your TA to put a request for near the lobby on your reservation so you don't end up with too much of a walk to your room.

I've stayed at Pop before as well, and understand completely! I kept thinking, 'are they trying to punish people who stay at values?'

I agree with this suggestion as well. Aside from being inside the horseshoe, the Arusha savanna is the biggest and has the most animals, which is why they charge a premium to book that savanna now. I think AKL is a great resort for a non-park stay!!

Honestly, it's one of the main reasons I was able to convince the DH to splurge on a Deluxe this trip. That and the uncomfortable beds at the Pop.

Hi,

Hoping someone can fill me in.

Staying here for a couple of nights, which should be great.

Was wondering if you can grab a drink (alcoholic and non-alc.) and go out and view the animals from one of the viewing areas? Or are you not allowed to take alcohol out to the viewing areas?

TIA

I don't see why you couldn't or if they would even know. We would sit on the rocking chairs at Kidani drinking our soda from refillable mugs. No CM were there let alone call us on it. Why that couldn't be alcohol I can't think of any reason. It's really relaxing! Enjoy!

Seriously with all the walking you do in the parks and at your hotels, is another 30-35 yards really that big of a difference.

When you have back issues, and you're already in pain from walking around the park all day, yes it can be.

"Just Saying", but thank you for your very helpful post.

Besides, it was an inside family joke. Look up the Epcot Death March by John Pinette. The first time we walked to a Pop Century bus stop, my DH said if that comedian had been there, he would have called it "The Pop Century Death March". It kind of stuck for the rest of the trip.

Thanks just played it. You owe me a new tee shirt. It's got my beverage on it where I laughed out loud! Thanks that is a classic. Epcot showcase why don't they have a little tram like in the parking lot going around! I am disabled so until I hired a scooter I never thought a world existed beyond Mexico lol. Partner couldn't push me in wheelchair any further. Epcot Death march and push on top imagine...

That is too funny!

DH and I can relate being that we decided to go one year in July! That was how I got my coaster-averse DH on Space Mountain, the promise of 1 hour of air conditioning and no sun

The first time I heard it, I almost spewed Dr Pepper all over my laptop.

I'm glad y'all enjoyed it. We will be doing the Epcot Death March this September. We were there this past June, since it was raining, the heat wasn't bad.
