How much can I fit in my mouth at once?

Got to love this sign!

The boys were in no mood for this picture, so we told them to make as silly a face as they wanted.

Joel climbing the ropes. I love my little boy getting so big and strong.

Yeah for a 5:45 wake up time. I can't beleive we slept in so late!!!

Today has been about as perfect as we could hope. We ate a pre-breakfast in our room of some leftovers we had accumulated. Mostly Chicken nuggets and grapes. Then we headed out to Disneyland for early entry. We had breakfast at La Brea Bakery (think I spelled that wrong) It was good and I think a very good option. Wished would have eaten there the other day over White Water Snacks.

We were at the gates to Disneyland 20 minutes before opening. They let us thru about 10 minutes till. They held us at the end of Main Street for actual opening. Our plan for the day was to use the Lines app and the Dumbo or Die in a day touring plan. That only lasted for the first hour and then we quit and did our own thing.

The park was more crowded today than I expected. That being said, we still didn't wait more than 20 minutes to ride any rides. However we waited 45 minutes to see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. We got their 15 minutes before her scheduled time and waited a little over 30 minutes then to see her. It was worth it. They were great and I love thier set-up. Flynn was so nice and really encouraged my shy boys to talk to Rapunzel.

I haven't commented to much on the WDW vs DL comparison. I can say that DL has such a charming little ride in Alice. I loved that. And Pirates of the Caribean is not even a contest. DL's version is so much better as well as Winnie the Pooh. The 2 parks while similar are so different I can see having a hard time deciding when our next trip planning time comes around.

We were wanting to wind down our day at California Adventure so we left DL around 4:30. Evan wanted a Piston Cup ( a little antenna topper) he saw the other day. So we went over to Carsland again. I am so glad we did. It was the most awesome end to our trip. We bought the $7 antenna topper and it was broke 2 minutes later. We should have spent the extra to get the sturdy $20 cup. Lesson learned. Anyway we walked onto Maters Jamboree. Our favorite ride of the vacation. Then we got to see the DJ car dance show (we saw it yesterday). As soon as Joel saw the car he knew he wanted to watch it again. Then about 15 minutes later the NEON CAME ON! I loved it!! My heart lit up and we just sat on the bench listening to the song Life Could be a Dream, bouncing and cuddling my boys.

We walked out the back side via Pacific Wharf (Spelling again?) That view is just spectacular. And even better at night. We walked on to Ariel's. Then here we are back at the hotel. Ryan went to get us Earl of Sandwhich for dinner and I got the boys ready for bed.

Tomorrow is going home. I am happy to be going home, but sad to leave the fun.

29th Pics

These are in no particular order.

In Toontown. Speaking of... That Roger Rabit spin ride was way too scary for my boys. Both didn't like it.

Waiting in Line for Autopia. This is how to burn some energy from ice cream we just ate.

This is the DJ car. Joel loved the dancers and the music.

Lighting McQueen and his entourage. It is so funny watching the cars being escorted around.

One more funny little story for tonight.

One main difference is WDW and DL is that cast members have to walk to and from places. There are no underground tunnels. So you will see people coming and going to work and princesses walking to and from their meet and greets.

At the end of the Disneyland portion of the day we used the bathrooms that were at the end of Main Street on the right hand side. Tucked back in a corner. Anyway as we were leaving Joel was just being silly and dancing about in the walkway when Snow White and Aurora came walking out to go to their meet and greet. Evan just sat there grinning and yelled "what are they doing here!" To that I responded they live here and they needed to go over and greet their guests. He just giggled his little Evan giggle. But Joel was oblivious until he twirled into Snow White. In his twirl he just felt her dress on his hand so he stopeed and jumped back 3 feet and stood awestruck at her being here. She just smiled and gave him a little wave as she walked on.

It was a fun little princess moment of the day.

To wrap up the trip report. We made it home just fine. It was exhausting travel day.

Here are my tips for things I wish I would have done differently on this trip (very few).

- I loved our http://www.citystrollerrentals.com stroller. We were at Disneyland for 4 nights and to save so money we didn't have the stroller delivered until Sunday so we could do a 3 night rental. That meant we really didn't have the stroller for our Sunday park day cause we got to the parks early. It is a lot of walking and my boys still needed the stroller (my older to have an oasis to go to to re-treat from the stimulation).

- I should have only ordered 3 meals for the 4 of us. We had leftovers at every meal. I had a stash of grapes and chicken nuggets by the time we left. And that was even after eating leftovers a couple of times for breakfast.

- I would have eaten more at La Brea Bakery and skipped a couple of our White Water Snacks meals.

- Added at least one more day, maybe 2. We didn't factor in 4am wake up calls. Also didn't realize how much was different from the world and that we would want to see it all. I am OK cause i definitely see another DL trip in our future.

- I wish I would have packed more medicine in my travel bag. I had at home 3 bottles of prescription strength eye drops for pink eye. Ryan with his sinus and cough issues, it would have been nice to have something. We bought from the gift shop ut paid a pretty penny for it.

I loved my vacation and I can't wait to return.

I was filling out reviews from our trip and so many great memories came flooding back that I didn't share.

First here is a video of my boys dancing in DCA in Carsland. They loved this little impromptu party in the street.

Video of Carsland Dance Party

The other fun story I wanted to share is on our day at Disneyland, my DH lost his Iphone We had just seen Rapunzel and the meet lets you out into a fast food place. I can't remember the name. Anyway, we sat and had a good lunch. DH went to the bathroom while I cleaned up the table. Then we all met outside. We were using the lines app, so he wanted his Iphone to see what the next step was.

He looked everywhere in our stuff...strollers....backpacks....kids pockets... Couldn't find it! So of course I said you left in in the bathroom. Nope not in there. He then said was it on a tray. Did I throw it out with the food? Maybe. He went back in and was literally digging thru the garbage. An employee said for him to stop and she would do it since she had gloves. He was like NO I am looking for my Iphone. Wasn't in there. Glad we ate lunch early cause the trash can was fairly empty.

He came back out defeated. Said we will just report it to Guest relations. Well we remembered I did have my phone on me even though the battery was close to being dead. We turned it on and called the other phone. Nope. Not on us. Couldn't hear it. Then he called again and someone answered and said, "I think you lost your phone!" LOL. The CM had it!!! When he called the first time, they heard it and picked it up.

It all worked out and Ryan and the Iphone were reunited!!!

That was a tense 20 minutes of our vacation.
