Is Zantigos still good? I get up to the Twin Cities for business somewhat frequently and am seriously considering a side-trip to eat at one, if they haven't become total dives. From their website, it looks like there is one in Bloomington that isn't far from where I often go, so it would be fun to relive old memories. I'm sure they're not as fantastic as I remember, but if they are passable, I'll make a trip.

Each time we visited my Grandma in Cliffside Park we had to go to Callahans on the way home. Even though she had fed us tons of food.

So Big..So Good, Callahans.

The one thing I miss about A&W was the seasoning that they put on their fries. Does anyone know how to duplicate that? Would love to have it again.

There is an Arthur Treachers alive and serving in Alexandria, VAa

Ok, this one is Orlando specific, but I thought maybe on a DIS board some of you would remember

King Henry's Feast!

It was a dinner theater type show a little like medieval times, but WAY better. First of all you didn't have to eat with your hands and they had jugglers and magic tricks.

We used to go there practically every Disney trip as a child, it was located on I-drive.

There also was a Mardi Gras themed dinner show and one themed to the Wild west, but King Henry's Feast was our families favorite!

Farrell's - "I made a pig out of myself" with The Trough a bunch of times as a kid (when my metabolism was a LOT higher) and had a birthday party there complete with a Zoo sundae.
Sambo's - Victim of unnecessary controversy. It was named after the two founders "Sam" and "Bo".
Arthur Treacher's - I always smile when I pass an old location with the trademark "lantern" sign still being used by the current occupant.
Burger Chef - My parent's bought their current home off of the guy that was the corporate counsel for the chain.
Roselyn Bakery's - You've only probably heard of them if you grew up in Central Indiana. Locations all over Indy. Great cookies... Funny, I just learned via Wikipedia that they were shut down because their central bakery suffered repeated rat infestations!!!
Steak-n-Ale - Took my date there for my Senior Prom (big spender, I was!).
The Magic Pan - Loved eating there during the short time crepes were all the rage in the late 70's.
Orange Julius - My aunt worked there at our mall while she was dating my uncle. Both are gone now. It was back when they had the demon logo (which they dropped after threats of a lawsuit from Arizona State) and the store had a "Hell" theme with fake black volcanic rock and light fixtures with flickering light bulbs that looked like they came out of a dungeon. I smiled last weekend to see that DQ apparently now owns the recipe and trademark.
The Orance Julius/DQ combo has been open down here for a couple of years now. We have one in the mall and I know of at least one stand alone DQ store that has added the OJ products to their line up. The best of both worlds. The kids can get their blizzards and DH gets his strawberry julius and I get my orage one.

Haha- they had a franchise here in PA when I was in HS- back in 1985-ish, and it didn't make it. Don't think I will try that one here again! LOL

German restaurant? We still have one in our mall here- and it is always busy. My kids like to go there when we go to the mall- which isn't very often anymore.

We had Zantigos when I was a kid and they all closed. I never visited one in those days. When they came back, I started going there. I love them! Now I've got the urge for a chilito!

yes, used to go to callahan's (fort lee) - lived in cliffside park, ate there a LOT, even had the yellow t-shirt - yoo hoo and a dog!!

remember the callahan's on route 46W (down from the "circle" by valley fair) but the fort lee location was "home" for us!

how about binghamton's in edgewater? - is it still there??!!
