All thru out the course there were different things to see. There were school marching bands playing, A pirate ship, singers, for the full marathon there was a car show, a little something differt all along the course.

At the 12 mile mark running back into the Epcot parking lot. Then down the middle of FW and making a uturn back out to the rightside and to the finish line in the souther parking lot.

I did not get the finish line pics since i was trying to find someone that had crossed and missed the others. I have just a couple more from the full marathon coming. They full marathon ran thru all 4 parks, the speedway and the ESPN complex. Next year i am going to need help to get pics from all 4 parks since the traffic to get to them is terrible on race days. There will have to be 3 with one in HS, one in AK and one in ESPN. I can get to the MK and Epcot. Any volunteers

Thanks Jeff. It was a great weekend. A lot on the warmer side compared to last year. When the first group went off at 5:30am it was in the low 40's. This year it was in the low 60's which made it very warm for the full marathoners. The later groups didnt start until about 615 to 630 so they were finishing round noon. By then it was in the mid 70's and getting warmer.

I would have to start training now to be in some kind of shape to run in these. I have thought about doing the 1/2 in January of 2014. Now you know i would have to train all year with my camera in hand cause i would be shooting everything

I will be back there for the Princess 1/2 marathon weekend. My daughter will be running the 5K. This weekend there are all sorts of outfits being worn. A lot of the guys that run will be in womens outfits.

Forgot to tell you that all of the above pics were from the 1/2 marathon on Saturday. The full marathon after leaving the speedway went to the AK via back roads so i could not get any pics there.

Thanks Diane. It was a blast. I am already thinking about next year and 5 years from now for the 25th anniversary of the marathon and if still healthy going to run during the 50th anniversary of WDW in 2021.

Now if we never get to meet as a group soon we really need to plan for a DIS meet that 50th year anniversay.

These are from Sundays full race. They have an area on the side of the main road for all of the spectators to watch the start.
