I ate breakfast there in October and really enjoyed. It's pretty typical buffet fare, but you can order off the menu if you don't want the buffet. Best of both worlds, IMHO. The buffet did have nova lox and bagles, which I absolutely love. The pastries, eggs, and fruits were all nice and fresh.

Best part - it is NOT crowded at all.

Our Ratings of The Wave (Breakfast Buffet): (rev 9/5/2012)
. . . food price value: B
. . . food quality: B
. . . food quantity per serving: A

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The buffet has
significantly increased its variety, and now is very much worth the visit.
At just under $20 per adult, it is extremely reasonable for a WDW
buffet. For breakfast, it's probably the best-kept dining secret.
it has Mickey waffles and delicious sweet potato pancakes. They use
local fresh fruit and vegetables. For those with a smaller appetite, one
can do the usual ala carte breakfast menu.

Rusty, thank you! How does it stack up to Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast? Where can I see all of your reviews?

NOTE: The Cafe is on the ground floor overlooking the pool and courtyard.
It is airy and light inside, with a sophisticated coffee shop appeal. The food
is tasty, with quality well above average, but selections nothing too out of
the ordinary. Our service has been always outstanding. Worth jumping to
for breakfast or dinner. However, the lunch menu has changed and now not
worth the journey. By the way, a good place to take young kids to start them
to learn manners.

I agree with all of this. It's not winning any awards for atmosphere, but for breakfast...it was quick, good and did I mention very fast?

We've eaten at the Wave twice for breakfast with our guests in tow, both times off the menu as we are not buffet eaters. Both times were fantastic, and my mouth is still watering from the taste of the fresh foods. Very laid back, great service and never crowded. You will not be disappointed, and most likely will become a devotee.
