Were the grades coded or were they listed under the child's name?

If they had a unique code known only to the student - many schools do this.
ie: 783346 - A
786632 - F

If they listed the semester grades under the child's name - shame on them.
ie: Gina Goodstudent - A

If the part of the conversation you deemed "childish" had no bearing on your original question, then why mention it at all? You set the stage for the comments you received. And, you might want to remember that this is a discussion board, where people, um, discuss things that others post. If you don't want a discussion and merely an answer to a question, then you might be better off using a search engine instead of a discussion board.

Either they used some kind of coding system (no names) or I have a really hard time believing that this happened.
