The aqua duck isn't very steep -- much calmer than any of the water rides at Disneyland or WDW. You'll be fine.

I am not a fan of roller coasters or drops, but had no problem at all with the Aqua Duck. It has 2 small dips (think 3 feet each) to help build up speed to carry you through, but basically, it is a slow ride around the top deck. It gets a little dark when you go through the front funnel, but never completely dark, at least in the daytime.. I didn't get a chance to ride at night.

It is alot of fun. I sure wish they would put it on the Magic and Wonder.

It is nothing like a coaster. Honestly I was expecting a little more to it. The kids had fun on it though. Seriously, nothing to worry about.

I was scared, but it is not scary at all! We went when we were in the Port of St. Maarten. No line and beautiful views!!! Be careful getting out of the raft at the end because I slipped and still have an achy shoulder! Fun reminder of our Honeymoon cruise in September! Have fun!

"Service Chicken"

Post of the day!

OP: You have nothing to fear but plunging to your certain death on one of the most treacherous rides...just kidding.
First time down is unnerving because you don't know what it's like. It's really more of a peaceful glide with a couple of speedy spots - absolutely nothing to fear (but tell everyone when you get back about how you "hurtled into the abyss with nothing but your courage to protect you from dangers on all sides!"

Oh my gosh - I haven't had the giggles after reading a thread in a long time - but this one did it.

I, too, laughed at the thought of a service chicken - and couldn't think of any other reason why a live chicken would be brought on board!!!

But - on to the real question - like others said - the ride itself is very very very tame - but as bitlerzx4 mentioned, I was a little paranoid about the going over the side of the boat and HELLO there are things that EAT PEOPLE down below!!

So, my freak out had 100% to do with the fact I'm terrified of heights and sharks and 0% to do with the twists and turns (and drops, albeit itty bitty drops).

We have chickens so I read a lot of chicken blogs (yes, I know...that's just sad ). Anyway, some of these bloggers would absolutely try to get their pet chickens on board so I thought the OP was one of them.

Me on the other hand, you stop laying eggs...off with your head!!

Anyway, the AquaDuck is not scary at all. DH has mobility issues and the worst part for him was walking the steps and getting up at the end. Otherwise, there is no stomach dropping and no, the tube does not open up and drop you over the edge if your stateroom bill gets too large!! Enjoy!!

I'm really scared of drops, I never even ride Splash Mountain and I'm still nervous on Kali River Rapids, but I'm so looking forward to ridijg Aqua Duck again in three weeks!
There is no drop, no uncomfortable feeling in your tummy and no high speeds. It's more like a gentle boat ride.

I won't do Space Mountain, nor Tower of terror - only one I was able to convince myself of doing was splash mountain and thunder mountain...

But Aquaduck is nothing - It's mostly like a fast lazy river!
