Is April 8-11 or June 16-19 better?
We are planning our first ever trip to Disney World for either April 8-11 or June 16-19. Which would be better for lower crowds? Would there be much of a difference between the two?
I wasn't sure if my dates in April are Spring break dates in the US or not. Are my dates in June early enough to avoid the heavy summer vacation crowds? My daughter's classes run until June 28th, but I wasn't sure if that's the norm or not. Which dates would you recommed and why? Thank you so much!!!

You should check out the Crowd Calendar on www.easywdw.com for some crowd projections.

I'd probably go with the April dates. Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is beautiful and you might get weather that's not too hot (though it still could be).
Spring break for my DD is the week prior to your dates and DS has his in March. Most schools will be out of session by your June dates (we get done June 7). |

April is going to be better. There are some schools in the US that have Spring Break that week(ours in one of them) but not many. Disney must not be classifying it as part of Spring Break because the price for Disney cruises drop drastically that week from the weeks before.
The majority of schools in the US will be out for summer by June 16th so the crowds will be higher. |

No question April. The crowds will be about the same, but the temperatures are so much nicer.

Your April dates will be better in every possible way.
Easter is March 31st, so the parks will be super crowded from March 23rd to April 7th. By Monday, April 8th, the big spring break crowds will be gone and it won't be bad at all. Most schools will be out in the first or second week of June, so by the 16th, summer crowds will be arriving. As far as weather, to sum up, April will be pleasant. June will be hot, humid, and miserable. I'm not saying you can't have fun in June. We did a June trip in 2011 and had a great time. But we only chose that time because we had to. If we could have switched to April, I wouldn't have hesitated for a second. April Average high temperature: 83.0F / 28.3C Average low temperature: 59.4F / 15.2C Average precipitation: 1.80 inches Average humidity (1pm): 46 June Average high temperature: 90.5 / 32.5C Average low temperature: 71.8F / 22.1C Average precipitation: 7.32 inches Average humidity (1pm): 57

Not sure what offers you may have up there. Down here there are room discounts for your April dates. Your missing it by 2 days for your June dates.
