When I look at Mousesavers.com rack rates for Oct 13-Nov 21, 2014, the standard rate for ASMo is $110/133, AoA is $132/155. Preferred rate at ASMo is $128/151, which is $4 less than AoA single room rate. There's no preferred rate at AoA. Free Dining doesn't affect rates. Its purpose is to increase occupancy in slower periods. There might be a room rate special going on, but that would affect both ASMo and AoA. Maybe only Preferred rooms are available at ASMo for your dates. When we stayed at ASMo, we chose the Mighty Ducks section, which is all priced at Standard rate. We liked that section because it was actually closer to All Star Music buses, and about equally far to both ASMo and ASMu food courts. The hotel tax rate is different at the 2 resorts. ASMo rate (Osceola Co) is 13%, and AoA (Orange Co) is 12.5%.

Here's a link to Mousesavers rack rates. Disney publishes rates once per year. http://www.mousesavers.com/2014-disn...-season-dates/

Ok I only checked for the one day and just found it funny. And free dinning does affect rates if it causes certain rooms to book up to leave only certain ones available. I never said anything about it changing rates. All i was saying if I booked AoA for that one night it would only cost me 4 more then all star movies. You do have a valid point about the taxes.
