AAA Ressie questions
How does a room only ressie booked through AAA differ from directly booking through disney? Is the cancellation/ modification policy the same? Do you get to put requests on the ressie?

The difference when booking with AAA is they will control your reservation. Your AAA agent will have to make all changes/cancellations on the reservation and make your requests for you. Again, if you just want the AAA discount on a room-only, I would call Disney and book it yourself! |

I would if I could! Disney has been telling me it's not available with AAA discount since July so I finally called my local AAA office and she was able to book it for me.

Oh! That's too bad! What are your dates? Yes, the policy should be the same - one night's lodging plus tax due at booking, balance due at check-in, must cancel at least 5 days prior in order to receive refund. Double check with the agency. Glad you at least got a discount!

Thank you for your replies. It looks like it will be ok then through AAA. We are going October 23rd-November 11th with a full hook-up campsite at Fort Wilderness.

I got an AAA discount for Nov 30- Dec 7 by booking through Disney directly so they are offering them now. I booked it last week. I like having control of my reservation. I have gone through AAA at times and it was just fine. Unfortunately I know more about WDW than my AAA agent! ( Small town only 2 agents) Also airlines they didn't know SW was flying some new direct routes out of our close by airport until I told them!

AAA rates typically come out in the fall of the previous year. I book BCVs on Nov. 30th 2012 for our stay Oct. 18th 2013. The BC fills up fast during F & W Fest so if I want any kind of discount I need to book early and then hope for something else. Jan. is AAA month if rooms(campsites) haven't sold out by the end of the month more rooms may be available in Feb. at the AAA rate. Then you can book yourself and cancel with the agent.
