Oscars on Cruise?

Hi!

We are on the Dream cruise that leaves the day the Oscars are. I know they are on ABC this year... Does anyone know if they'll be shown on the boat? Either in the room TVs or if they'll have an event?

Thanks!

There is a good chance there will be broadcast. It may depend upon satelite connection and where you are at sea. You may want to call DCL and ask. Since a lot of the sports comes via ESPN which is a cable station there are different "rules" for the standard TV networks due to advertising requirements this may be will there is an issue. On past cruises ABC connection came in and out usually it was pretty good when we were in port and lost it when we left port and were at sea. Have a great cruise!

You really want to watch a TV show on a Disney cruise? I would DVR it and watch it when I got home.

If this was the super bowl would you be as judgmental? For some the oscars are a big deal and wanting to enjoy something that you enjoy while on vacation is a great way to spend a vacation.

OP I don't know if they will show it but if I was lucky enough to be cruising then I would also be checking! Good luck.

Green Bay fan, nuff said. And by the way, I wouldn't book a cruise on SB Sunday....Unless I somehow knew the Packers were in it.

On our first cruise they showed the Oscars on the big screen by the pool, it was so much fun to cozy up on a lounge chair and watch

Last year on the MR cruise it was an event. You could cast your vote for winners and watch in the lounges, stuff like that.

I don't know why you wouldn't sail on super bowl Sunday it's not like you would miss your team playing. You better start looking for a cruise for this years Super Bowl.

Sorry OP for the off topic hijacking

The golden mickeys are replayed on the tv channel if you can't get oscars.
