Help! Teva or Keens....
I am buying shoes for both me and hubby, and I am lost. I really like both the Tevas and Keens, and do not wanna buy both.
Which would you recommend for a man? a woman? TIA |

I've had both but prefer Teva. They are lighter and my feet are less sore at the end of the day with them. The Keens were good but just didn't seem as comfortable as Teva.

I love my Keen's! I have four pairs and wear them everywhere - I tend to have plantar fasciitis issues and the Keen's are very supportive for my high arches. I like my Teva Mush flip flops but not for extended periods of walking. I've found great prices on Keen's at Nordstrom Rack and sierratradingpost.com!

My DH never takes off his Keens.
I have Achilles tendonosis in both ankles as well as extremely blister prone skin. A combination of Keens and Tevas is the only thing that works for me. Keens for most of the day - no socks but with moleskin on likely trouble spots - for support and ankle happiness. Mid-afternoon I check for hot spots, apply moleskin as necessary, add moisture wicking running socks, and switch to the Tevas (their lightest model with just a few thinning straps). We averaged 12.4 miles a day on our last trip and my feet did great (other than wanting their nightly ice bath).

My husband and I both wear tevas. I would like to try keens some day, but my tevas are in great shape so no need for new shoes yet. I buy keens for my 4 year old daughter, I prefer the closed toe for her. She loves them and never has any problems, even after a full day of walking at Disneyland.

So really is seems like either or would be fine. I think my hubby is set on a pair of Teva's. I am the one who can not make up my mind
I do have high arches, and bad ankles so maybe the Keens would be better for me. I wonder if your feet breathe well in them? |

Keens are great with high arches. My mom and I both wear them for our Disney trips and they keep our feet from getting tired. If you are prone to blisters try body glide on your feet. That helps a lot with hot spots areas. I use the body glide and keens and have not had a blister in six trips.

I agree with the PP's in that you can't really go wrong with either. We have Teva's and love them!! I would recomend that which ever one you choose that you choose one with a strap or more of a closed shoe type and not just the flip flops, those are more comfortable for alot of walking.

Yea no way I could do the flip flops. I think I might just have to get both sets, because I am having too hard a time choosing.

I've had both and really like both. I prefer my Keens. They are more supportive and have a closed toe which I really prefer at the parks...just seem more protective.

I think it is a foot preference. For me, neither. Merrill is my go to shoe, fits my foot great and I never have a problem with them. Keen and Teva both give me blisters. Dh on the other hand LOVES Keens.
The best bet is to go and try them on, or order from a place like Zappos so you can order both and return the ones you don't like as much. Emily |

Having high arches, Keens are my only option of those two choices - plus I prefer to have a closed toe in any amusement park setting for protection. They are waterproof and give me the support I need while allowing my foot to be cool and comfortable all day.
