Please help with strategy for 5 yr olds! - The DIS Discussion Forums

I have been to Disney many times, but never with young children.

Can someone please fill me in on which rides in each park I will want to go to in order to get FP for so we dont miss out? Or which ones we should ride first so we arent waiting in line for 30-100000 mins please?

My littles are celebrating their 5th birthday with the mouse!!

MK. Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and under the sea.

Hollywood studios. Toy story mania

Epcot soarin, test track if he is brave

Animal kingdom. Kilimanjaro safari. Everest and dinosaur might be too scary.

When I took DD at 4 and a half she could ride all the attractions at MK! Obviously all kids are different and will like different things. She did not like Stitch's escape or Space Mountain at that age. BTMR and Haunted Mansion were so-so. She was really into princesses and we spent a lot of time in Fantasyland, Adventureland was a close second.

She was a little harder to please at Epcot, not into the countries at all. She liked Spaceship Earth, Nemo, Test Track, Journey and Turtle Talk w/ Crush. She loved everything in AK except the Tough to be a Bug thing which she thought was scary. At DHS she liked all the shows, the only rides she liked were Star Tours and Toy Story. Hope that helps, have fun!

Pretty much everything at MK except space mountain or stitches great escape... Maybe not splash mountain or big thunder mtn railroad....but everything else.

Actually this trip we're going to see how DD who is almost 5 likes Barnstormer... If she likes it we might even try her on thunder mtn.

Her favorite ride is Aladdin.... But she pretty much likes everything in fantasy land plus Buzz, Aladdin, and jungle cruise.

DD now almost 5 has been to Disney 4x with first trip being at age 2.5. Among her favorite rides are POC & HM, she just tried Splash Mtn in November and loved it!!
I would def get fast passes for Peter Pan, Enchanted tales with Belle, Ariel under sea voyage, Winnie the pooh & splash mountain can also be very long waits.
