Just help me decide? CMC or CM
We are going to be staying at WDW for 3 nights in June before our Disney Dream cruise. Resort Only and staying at 3 different ones!! I am sooo looking forward to experiencing the Resorts, instead of just for a little bit here and there....feel like I will get my money's worth this way LOL!!!
Right now we have reservations at Chef Mickeys and Cape May Cafe for a character breakfast. We have done Chef Mickey's at least 5x and NEVER Cape May Cafe.....my Mom who is going with us, has NEVER experienced a character meal. (Note: We are also eating at the O'Hana Character Breakfast also) I love(d) Chef Mickeys but have been a little disappointed the last few times and I know nothing about Cape May Cafe. Here is our Itinerary: Thursday 6/13 - Beach Club Resort Friday 6/14 - Polynesian (Chef Mickey's at 8:45 or Cape May Cafe at 9:05?) Saturday 6/15 - Port Orleans Riverside (O'Hana Breakfast at 8:45am) I am thinking CMC because we can go down and eat and have fun AND then go back to our room, pack everything and check out and head over to the Polynesian to Check-In. If we do Chef Mickey's we will have to pack everything and check-out by 8:00, to be at the Contemporary and then drive over after breakfast to the Polynesian. So the logical choice is Cape May Cafe!! BUT, how is the food and atmosphere??? Really how is the food??? |

I stayed at the BC in April 2011 and went to both... Honestly the only difference I remember is there was fresh watermelon at chef mickeys. Besides that I felt the food was awesome at both places. The characters at CMC have cute beach outfits on. Theres a bit more elbow room. I don't think you'd be let down by whichever you decide!

Going to CMC convenient for you, thats a bonus. The fact that your mother is coming, thats another reason to go to CMC.
Aside from all that, CMC is much much much much much much much much better than CM. Food at CM is garbage. Quality is bad, and so is the variety. Never again. So your answer is clear, CMC is the winner here!!!! CMC is great thou. Much better quality and selection. Plus, the atmosphere is far prettier than CM. And also, a bonus that your mom will appreciate, CMC is much QUIETER than CM. CMC is one of the quietest character breakfasts around. I love it!

I voted for Cape May. We've eaten at both many many times and we love both, but if we had to choose just one, it would be Cape May. Have a great trip.

I haven't been to breakfast at either but with 3 resorts in 3 nights and a cruise...I would go with the easier choice of CMC
