Best guess for April 2014

I know it's a little early to start planning...but considering that Easter 2014 is on April 20, and our school's break (CT) is the week prior to that, what would your best guess be as far as crowd levels go? Will it be a total nightmare?

We have a trip planned for this April but for various reasons are considering switching to next April instead, but with the way the dates are falling I'm nervous that it will be crazier than usual crowds. Thanks!

I would expect heavy crowds, but next year might not be any better so I'm not sure I'd switch just because of that.

I wouldn't switch just based on that but I'm wondering if the timing of Easter will make it a nightmare. I guess I ask because everyone was saying crowds this year would be lower because Easter is really early. Just wondering if anyone has any more opinions??

Maybe if you leave some chocolate under your pillow the Tag Fairy will visit you!

After Christmas week, the 2 weeks surrounding Easter are traditionally the most crowded at WDW all year. I expect the opening of the new 7 Dwarves Mine Train/Princess meet & greet in early 2014 will possibly ramp up crowds even more.

It will be crazy crowded, but if you arrive before rope drop each morning, do the big headliners before noon, use FP as much as possible, and expect big crowds, you will be OK.

We are from RI and went during Easter week in 2009 which fell on our school vacation week.

Yes the crowds were crazy busy but they did open the parks at 7am and we were able to get all the rides in by 11am and you just can't beat the weather.... so I wouldn't change my plans

I am in CT as well, we went during our school week in April last year and crowds were comfortable, very pleased.

My mom is planning an extended family vacation next year, I convinced her to switch to June instead of our normal vacation week since it does Fall in Easter next year.

I would not hesitate for this year, since Easter is not the same week, but would not recommend next year.

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Well, I haven't cancelled yet...here's hoping things work out!
