My husband doesnt believe me, fireworks from the BWI...
Last trip we stayed at the Poly and we looooved watching the fireworks from the beach. When booking this trip coming up, one of my selling points on staying at the BWI is that you can see the Epcot fireworks. My husband refuses to believe this. lol. How well can you see the fireworks in Epcot from the Boardwalk???? I have shown him a couple of pics that i have seen people post of the fireworks, some are pretty amazing where it looks like they are right there...in other ones they look kind of far away. So now Im beginning to question this myself. Can anyone help end this debate? lol

I could see some of them when I stay at the BWI. If you are on an upper floor or on club level in a garden view room you can see them.

You can see Epcot Illuminations from the BWI. I have seen them from the club level lounge.

While you can see a portion of the fireworks from BWI, it's probably a better idea to take a ten minute walk into EPCOT and view the show in it's entirety.

Unlike the Poly, where the MK fireworks can be seen from lots of spots (including some that are open to the public, like the beach), there aren't as many places around the BW where you can see IllumiNations. Some of the upper level rooms (must be facing the right way) have a view, but I'd guess that the majority of the rooms would have limited/no view.
I agree with the PP that if you want to see IllumiNations, it's better to go inside Epcot and watch it. A good part of the show is on water-level (the fire, globe), so you'll miss a lot of the show if you can't see WS Lagoon.

I've not stayed at BWI, but I have stayed at YC (and BC) tons of times. From that area, you can definitely see some of it...but not all of it. Illuminations isn't all as high in the sky as Wishes. Agree with PPs...you are so close, walk in and enjoy around the lake!

If you're expecting the same type of view of fireworks as you got at the Poly you will be disappointed. I think others summed it up already.

I stayed at BWI a few years ago. We had a bw view one bedroom. I want to say we were on the 4th floor? Great view of the Epcot fireworks

Only a small % of rooms can see the fireworks. The music isn't piped in like at the Poly. It's not a great view from outside on the Boardwalk itself, either. Remember that many elements of Illuminations occurs on the water such as the globe, fire effects, lasers, and low fireworks. You can, however, see MK fireworks in the distance from the Boardwalk.
Not trying to be Debbie downer, but also don't want to set you up for disappointment

In December, the holiday "tag" at the end of regular IllumiNations is a fabulous fireworks display. However, even that is much better when you also hear the singing of "Let There Be Peace On Earth." In other words - the best viewpoint from an Epcot resort is no match for viewing IllumiNations from World Showcase.
