Frugality wins out over laziness

This time anyway. Was starving tonight, laying in bed with PJs on also wanting to be super lazy after my first student teaching seminar. Decided I really wanted pizza for some reason, and went online to place an order. $16 plus tip for delivery, $13 and no tip for carry out. I had quite the dilemma! Would my frugal side win out and save the ~$6? Or would my lazy, pajama loving, cold hatin' side win out and have someone deliver it to me?
Tonight, it was my money saving side, which totally surprised me!

So, what kind of mood are you in? Money-saving, or lazy? Do you normally go one way over the other when you order food?

Lazy. I would pay someone just to order Chinese take-out right about now.

You need to save the coupons the restaurants are always sending out. When it comes to a good deal, laziness always wins here.

Frugality won...I was sooooooo tempted to drop off the laundry to be done but I ended up doing it. It would have cost about $30 to have it done for me instead I only spent $13 doing myself in the laundry room.

Our Pizza Hut has $10 carry out, any large, even specialty. I always go pick it up. Full priced, or even coupons, dont bring it down to that price. Add on the $3 delivery and tip....Im not going to pay it. It helps that there is a drive through window and its less than 2 miles away!

We only order pizza when we are too lazy to get or cook food for ourselves. So laziness always wins there! lol

Frugality AND laziness won for me tonight. I was invited out to a friends house tonight, but I realized I was low on gas and don't get paid for three more days. It's an at home kind of night

Frugality if the husband will go get the pizza; laziness if I have to do it!

When i get the urge to show off, a tiny voice inside my head says "resist the urge". So i shut my mouth and stand still.

i guess if frugality really won, i would pass on the pizza altogether. if i were really lazy, i would go without.

generally speaking, i am more frugal than lazy. i don't mind getting dressed , going out with crazy hair and no makeup to get something i need. i am tan and have good teeth so its ok
..... maybe it is more that i am old and so over it. and i don't do food delivery.

It's tempting for me to do take-out more often, but with a lower paycheck and higher prices frugality wins.

No choice, there is no where around me to buy food other than a dirty Subway let alone have it delivered. 20 minute drive for pizza.

I thought you were going to say frugality won and you cancelled the order and made food

If my DH orders pizza he ALWAYS picks it up. He isWAY to frugal to pay for delivery and tip especiaaly since there are at least 8 pizza places within two miles of us.Wow I just counted eight, that is ALOT!

If its only a $3 difference, for sure i'd go for delivery!!!
Laziness wins if the $ difference isnt huge.

I would have made spaghetti. I never get delivery, and if I really didn't want to change out of my PJs, I'd just boil some water and heat some jarred sauce.

We love those $10 pizzas. Plus, I have a 10 percent discount card to make it cheaper still LOL.
