Mobile Magic, My Disney Experience, and WDW website

Ok, I'm confused...

What is the difference between the Mobile Magic App, My Disney Experience App, and the actual WDW website? My reservations are showing up in Mobile Magic but not on the other two... Aren't these three all supposed to be synced since they are all Disney? Should I be worried that my ADRs are only in one place?

Thanks!

A cellphone app is a single program and could have different backend "code" than a website. Not sure if this helps, and I agree they all should show the same information. I would send them an email with what you're seeing.

The MobileMagic app is being replaced by My Disney Experience. That app should sync up with the new Disney Experience website....but you'll probably have to re-add your existing reservations (of all types) to get it to do so.

According to a lot of others, the My Disney Experience app isn't that dependable either.

Your right its on and off for me. The website just always seems to give me a headache no matter when I get on. I generally just use the apps for wait times and they are usually working well and spot on.

I use unofficial WDW apps for wait times, but am more concerned about my ADRs. I guess I can always call and double check that they really are in the system, even though they only show up on on Mobile Magic...

It just doesn't make sense to me that they have 2 apps and a website that can't communicate? Tell me how that increases efficiency?

Related question for dining on My Disney Experience, does it only show TS restaurants? I was looking for a listing / map of Qs's in each park and couldn't find it.

Which App?

Mobile Magic- Click on "more" then scroll down to "my vacation details"

My Disney Experience- My guess is that is supposed to be under "my plans" but I can't get that one to work...

When I clicked on all dining options in MK, it lists all dining options. It lists the name of the restaurant, location on the second line, then on the third line the type of food and "quick service restaurant" for the QS ones. It doesn't look like you can sort by that options though...

Which version My Disney Experience for iPhone is the latest? I have 1.1.0 and I don't see any place that I can view any of my reservations. That would be very helpful if they had an app that I could view ADR and resort reservations. I guess I don't have the online version yet. I know I did see a different screen when they had the big update and had to add all my reservations again but now it looks like the old site again. Bummer!

On my iPhone, I can get the app to come up. I just can't get it to pull up my reservation. It says that the information I enter isn't correct. Everything else works fine, though. On my Kindle Fire, I can't get it to load at all. I have taken it off and reloaded it several times, and it still doesn't load. I'm just glad we aren't going until September, so they will hopefully be working by then.

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.0.1 (you can check in settings/general/about. Look for version number. ). Version of Disney My Experience on mine is 1.2.1

Check for updates in App Store. Once updated, make sure to sign in to the app with your email and password for the disney site. Then go to My Plans button at bottom, and you should be able to add or view dining reservations.

You might need to update your phone itself first if you don't see an app update available in the App Store. You can update over wifi if you have iOS 5 or higher, go to settings/general/software update. If your software is older than that you'll need to use iTunes and a computer. If you still have issues, try messaging me. I'm an Apple nerdette.
