AKL Nighttime Safari, anyone done it?

My family and I are staying at AKL concierge level in March. We are not early risers so the breakfast safari is out. But I see as of Oct. there is a nighttime safari which is much more to our liking, timewise.
Has anyone done it? Is it walking or in a vehicle? Worth the $$? Not a lot of info out there, so anything is appreciated!
