Thug gets what he deserves

Now THIS is a perfect validation for a "stand your ground" or a castle type law.

Good for you mama bear!

Good for her!! Unfortunately, if this idiot survives, he'll probably sue her for excessive force - and he'll probably win!!

Actually, if she had to shoot him 5 times and it still didn't take him down, sounds like she needs a bigger gun.

Didn't think of that but you are most likely right. Since he ran off and drove away chances are he did survive and went to get help for his wounds. Didn't see any other details about what he did after he drove away.

I still also say good for her! I would have done the same thing! No one is getting between me and my family!

Never bring a crowbar to a gun fight.

Good for this mama bear. If it came down to it, I would do exactly the same thing.

The article states he is "in critical condition and in an intensive care unit at Gwinnett Medical Center."

I think she did it right. I dont believe she wants live with knowing she killed some one or her children anymore traumatized with a dead person in thier home. It was a scary event already, no need to make it worse.

Guns are made to kill - and they are very effective at doing so in properly trained hands. Properly trained "hands" are taught to never point your gun at someone unless you are prepared to kill that person.

I honestly believe the whole situation would be better if she did kill this person. If he lives and eventually gets out of jail, will she have to worry about this person? Will he sue and possibly the children would have to be called to testify - wouldn't that be just as traumatizing?
