Convoluted multi-family trip

I am a disney vet, but this is throwing me for a loop and I wanted some suggestions from you experts.

Told my son I'd take him to Legoland for his 5th bday in April. If we're already in Florida, Mommy's going to WDW!! Anyway, the trip has now been expanded to include: Ex-DH, My Mother AND ex's parents (though grandparents will not be there at the same time).

Tentatively, DS, EX and myself will be there 10 days - Friday (4/13) to Sunday (4/20). My mother would join us the first half then leave for his parents to join us the second half.

How would you do rooms? Obviously Ex and I are on friendly enough terms to travel together for the sake of our son, but we might kill each other sharing a room. That said, I kind of feel bad about making someone have to be a single in a room (if I went with a value resort). BUT I also don't relish the thought of spending a few days in a suite with my ex-in-laws (if I did a villa). A split stay could be an option, but I don't love the idea. On-site is a must. (I don't want to say cost isn't an issue, but I do think the bill will be split enough ways that I don't think it'll be out of control no matter what).

Any suggestions that I haven't thought of?

(Oh, and FYI, the bright shining benefit to this trip will be that I'll have a day ALL to myself in WDW!! Bliss!!)

How about if your ex shares a room with his parents and you share a room with your son. Then when your mom comes your son can "room" with your ex.

You might want to consider Bonnet Creek if you decide to rethink the villas. Or you could consider renting DVC points for a villa.

Good luck!

Honestly if cost isn't an issue I'd rent a 2 bedroom w/lock off unit at one of the DVC resorts and then you all have your own space but are close enough that you don't have to chase each other down in the mornings or evenings.
