Thank you

A thank you to the kind man who handed me two fast passes last Tuesday morning to the Little Mermaid ride at Magic Kingdom. It was my first day ever at the world and it was just a lovely gesture that was much appreciated.

Nowhere else have I seen people eager to share stuff openly with others than at Disney. It's awesome, but personally I draw the line at Dole Whips.

We did that a few times --- for Soarin' -- and for Big Thunder Mountain, etc. We had already done Soarin' twice because the line was short and we were there right after rope drop.
There was a gray-haired couple near the standby line, as if they were considering going on but not sure. We gave them the fast passes (that was before the narrowing of the return window) and turns out they had never been on it!!! Told them they'd love it. :-)
In the case of Big Thunder, we came back to use our FP and it was "down". We were ready to move on to other areas and gave the passes to a young couple standing nearby.
We've had people offer us passes too and I agree that this sort of thing seems to only happen at Disney. Pass on the fun.

I would stockpile FPs all day and giving then away at the end of our park day used to be something our family enjoyed. Now that they have changed the FP rules I am afraid this will no longer be as easy to do.

There are actually posters on this board who consider what y'all are doing abuse of FastPasses. They cite the wording on the FP that it is non transferable. I happen to think that's ridiculous and enjoy hearing about it and do it myself on occasion.

I did it when we got fastpass and the line wasn't bad. But either way I think it's a nice gesture and should not be frowned on since u can only get 1 fastpass every hour.

That's nice Jacindyyy. If the naysayers show up on this thread, don't let them get to you.

Very nice post. A kind gesture and appreciative recipient makes for a great day at Disney. Or anywhere else for that matter.

Def don't let the naysayers get to you. I think it's awesome people want to spread the magic and make others happy. I really think there are too many out there who are ready to jump at the bit to complain or naysay just because they don't like something.

Enjoy your pixie dust!
