New years eve cruise and then the parks?

I am thinking of a New Years Eve Cruise for 2013/2014 then 6 nights at WDW, anyone ever done this? How was it? How crowded is it?

I would do WDW then DCL if at all possible. IMO.

WDW - exhausting
DCL - relaxing

I agree with you, but I was thinking WDW Christmas week might be to crowded for me, but a 1 part of January not so much? But I could be wrong

We just left WDW on Jan 4 and the parks were crazy crowded.

We did Christmas Cruise, Universal, WDW. My husband and I commented several times that we wish we would have done the reverse

Not sure the size of your family buy first you may want to look at the price of the 2013/2014 NYE cruise!!!! And I'm sure it's quite full, so book asap if you want it! we just got off Saturday from the fantasy for NYE it was perfect but expensive for us (DH & I). They said we had the best weather in CC in the past 2 months! So weather is a hit or miss, we got lucky and had great weather except a few sea days weather was rainy. We enjoyed it, will we ever do another NYE? Not with the prices like they are! We rebooked onboard for September 2013, price was just over 1/2 of what we paid for this NYE! But if you don't mind the price we enjoyed it!!

Haha. Disney said the same thing about our CC day on Cmas cruise

If New Year's Day is on a Wednesday next year (which I think it is), schools may remain out the rest of the week. If that is the case, the parks would still be super crowded I would think. Might want to check the calendar before making that decision.

I did NYE plus a few days in WDW once many years ago and swore I would never, ever do it again. The crowds on January 1st, 2nd and 3rd were the worst I have ever experienced at the parks. No room to move, shoulder to shoulder everywhere, 3 plus hours to ride stuff. Forget about pushing strollers or wheelchairs. It was scary crowded. So not worth it to me.

I would much rather go to WDW in the Fall.
