What I don't understand is why people are saying that this move favors the non-planner. If someone is not willing to make a dining reservation (something Disney touts as "important"), I highly doubt they'll even think to make a ride reservation. I honestly think the move favors the other end of the pack (cough cough Len Testa) who plans out an order of attractions and pinpoint at exactly what time he or she will do it.

And I wouldn't necessarily call the people who do not go to rope drop lazy. Remember, you're on vacation. I much rather sleep in (something that I don't do when I'm at home during the work week) than walk on Space Mountain when I'm half asleep. I prefer to stay at the parks later into the evening. It's all a matter of personal preference.

Can we please not call people who don't get to the park for rope drop lazy? I commented on this on another thread (or it might have been earlier in this one!)

My DH gets up every day at 5am for a 12 hour work day, I don't refer to him as "lazy" when he wants to sleep until 8am while on vacation

I am opposed to FP+. It is ADR's on steriods, and I am not a fan of ADR's. I am hoping it is a major failure.

So all this talk about group touring as me thinking....... not about the groups that want to tour together, but the opposite. What about the big groups who THOUGHT they wanted to do everything together.......... but by the end of their trip need some serious SPACE from the group they are traveling with.
I mean.... things CHANGE in the course of a trip. Oh, and don't ask how I know this!

Is this bracelet detachable? The last thing I want to wear in 100 degree weather is a bracelet strapped to my arm or in all my pictures!

That was my first thought, too. I'm a teacher, so we only ever go in the summer, and I usually can't even stand to wear my watch, let alone a giant dog collar bracelet! It would have to be detachable, because you'd have to take it off to shower, right??? Oh, I hope so!

Thank you I also get up at 5am every day and work 10 hour days. I "sleep in" on vacation, which is normally about 7:00 or 7:30, but still not early enough to get ready, get the bus, and make it for rope drop.

It looks detachable in the photos, but honestly, they have waterproof ones for the six flags water parks that do the same sort of thing, so i guess you could swim with them on.

They are adjustable, waterproof, detachable, light weight and do not have to be worn to work.

I read this twice before I realized you meant work (function,) not work (job) I thought you were making a joke and saying you wouldn't have to wear them for the rest of your life

Yes, as in you can take it off, put it on your bag, in pocket and still use it. It does not have to be on your wrist to function.

Currently if you try to assign them anything it wont "stick" and you also can't do so between full-blown accounts either. It just forgets the choice, say for dining, immediately after you do it. Dining Reservations ask for each person but then promptly forgets who you chose other than the primary. On a full blown account this little bar indicating what they have reserved doesn't appear presently either - it's under My Profile - Family and Friends - Edit (whichever account you've added) in the pseudo-accounts.

But as you can see there's the all important "Virtual Ticket." APs, people with reservations, etc.. will have a ticket assigned to them. That will allow the FP+ to be assigned at 60 days or less.
My hotel and ADR's for my family "stick" if you will.

We have already stopped dining at signature restaurants because of this, I don't want rides and fireworks to be phased out of our vacations as well!
There is absolutely no talk of that. I wouldn't worry about that one.

I really, really don't think they will charge money.

At worst, you lose the FP+ for that day.

Thanks! I wonder why a bracelet and not the card?

Also, what is the website? You all seem to know a ton and how to link everyone. I am a dvc member and can't find anything!

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, nt having to sprint to soarin or TSM first thing to be able to ride will be great! Per ordering food could be a perk.

Only getting 3 fast passes and not being able to use at different parks on the same day is a bummer. At MK, there are so many rides to limit to just 3. I have no clue how to choose!
