Adding Waterparks to your tickets?

Hello all... Just wondering. We have 8 day tix with PH and I'm considering adding the Waterparks and more option to it. Does anyone know how much more it would cost to add it? Thanks!

About $23.

May cost more if you have not started using the ticket and you bought the ticket from a discount agency or bought the ticket before a price increase.

(Water park fun costs about $61. when added to a non-hopper in which case the hopping would cost $23. if and when added later.)

We are going in April so we have our package booked but not paid in full. My kids are now expressing an interest to to the water parks as well. So for the 4 of us, it's only about $100 more? Does that get us into both water parks and Disney Quest as well?

Disney Quest mid-morning, Blizzard Beach in the afternoon, back to DQ in the evening -- Uses up no days and two fun visits with or without hopping.

Tickets for your room package or dining plan must be ordered as the same for everyone. After you check in and receive the tickets, the tickets need not all be upgraded the same way. But you may not add water park fun to just one ticket and admit the whole family using it. Tickets are not transferable.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

Note if you have only a Base (non-hopper) ticket the cost to add WPF&M to any ticket is $60.71 (including tax) per ticket. If you already have hopping on your ticket, the cost to add WPF&M to the ticket is $23.23.

Wow! Thank you for posting all that...it really clears things up? So we already have the PH so we could just add on the WP & more for $23.23? One final question...could we upgrade just 3 of the 4 tickets? For example, if my mom wouldn't want to got to a water park, could I upgrade mine, my DS, and DD? Thanks!

Yes. Once the tickets have been issued from a package, each stands independent of the others. It is only before the tickets are picked up that all on the reservation must be the same.

Have you already purchased the tickets? If not, maybe a shorter ticket would be a better plan?

If you have 9-day PH's with WPF&M, you essentially have 18 days worth of tickets - assuming you don't do a regular park and a water park on the same day (or more than one water park on the same day).

For example, on our trip last year we had 4-day park hoppers with WPF&M. We stretched those tickets over 7 days.

Day 1 AK/Epcot

OT: Don't forget that non-nonexpiring tickets with 8, 9, or 10 days and with water park fun also have a 14 day usage life span.

It is not cost effective to use non-expiration solely for this exercise, using up all the water park fun in one sitting.

We are staying at the CR and typically end up at MK most days for at least a short amount if time. We like having the flexibility of being able to walk there or monorail there whenever we want. I guess we should keep the 9 day tix. But thank you so much for explaining all that!

I'm kind of surprised that people would actually go to more than 1 water park per trip. We've never been but my kids definitely want to go this time. I wonder if they'll want to go more than once? They are like little fish and love swimming.
