Decision Made!!!! (I think)
I was torn between a Disney Fantasy cruise or WDW. After looking at the POR photos for the 321st time I just have to go there!!!! We have stayed at CSR and loved it and Pop (really liked it too), but POR just seems to be beckoning me!! If I have figured it correctly, we can stay June 5 - 13 with a river view room and QSD or DDP for less than the cruise......Just glad to have made the decision!!!
However, if anyone has any POR photos with garden views I would love to see them. |

Have a great time! I would pick WDW over a cruise any day.

I think you did the right thing. We just did something similar. I cancelled a cruise on the Dream to give us a full 9 nights at the Yacht Club, club level. We are saving roughly $1,000 too.
POR is a beautiful resort, and you saved some money, which always feels good. You will love it! Good choice!

Can I just tell you from experience, that you are going to FALL IN LOVE with POR !!!!
I've stayed there 4 times and each time, I've loved it more.We have also stayed at CBR and CSR and compared to POR, I didn't care for either. I know people love them, but I just didn't. To me, POR is serene and the surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful. Make sure that you take the boat to DTD... it's such a peaceful boat ride at night, and really a nice perk of the resort. Boatwrights has great food, as does the food court. (the bakery in the food court is wonderful!!) We've always stayed on the mansion side... I stayed on AB side once and didn't care for it much. To me, it kind of felt too rustic and like a tree house. So if that matters, make sure you request which side you'd like. The pool is terrific and there's a great pool bar that makes really good pina coladas! If you are looking for something nice to do at night, you can walk along the river to FQ... it's a really beautiful little walk. There's just NOTHING about POR that I don't love!!! I hope you enjoy it just as much!!!

We stayed at POR last year and loved it! I am planning a trip this year and probably staying there for Christmas.
