This so much. My brother died in November 2007 and our last family vacation was in July 2007 including time at WDW. Missing him is always strongest at MK though, so makes me emotional... at least for a little bit

I cry everytime I watch the Rope Drop at MK. I cry when I see MM for the first time each trip! I also cry the night I leave and turn around to take one last look at the castle!

Me also! GUILTY! I confess to getting MORE emotional as the years go by.

I've never seen the Rope Drop at MK - it's my plan for tomorrow though! Even after years of coming here, I still get emotional, tomorrow is my last day and I'll probably be a wreck. I was a bit tearful tonight knowing I was watching Wishes for the last time on this trip

Rope drop is when you get there right at park opening. A while back, they used to let you in the park and hold you back with an actual rope until if opened.

From what AuroraRora was talking about is the Welcome Show at MK. The have a little 5 min showe to open the park with the Mayor of Main St and Mickey. They pick a family to go up to the train platform and have a ceremony. I'm sure you can find it on YouTube if your curious.

I did cry at the Welcome Show after all. It was really nice - it was short but I loved it and I'm so glad I was there to catch it

I cry during Wishes every time I see it. I also cry as I leave the park on my last night there. I cried last night because my trip to see Nelson at Epcot Easter weekend had to be cancelled. This would have been my 7th year seeing them during flower and garden.

I'm an emotional sap when it comes to Disney. MK especially. I cry when I see the WDW/Magic Kingdom welcome signs driving in. I cry during the Good Morning show, I cry seeing the castle, I get goose-bumpy and butterflies in my tummy just BEING there. It's my happiest of happy places.

The music on the bus pulling into MK gets me, not sure why. I also get it on ME when the " welcome aboard disney's magical express" speech starts! Hope I never stop getting that excited about Disney! No shame in that, that's for sure.

I become a different person when I get off the plane in Orlando. I try extra hard to smile and wave at the Cast Members at DME and chat people up. I'm usually pretty reserved and serious at home, particularly in a work context.

Magic Kingdom has all sorts of visual and olfactory triggers for me. Whenever I walk into the park at night, it reminds me of my childhood, when we went when I was about 10 years old. All the bright, white lights on the buildings just bring me back - same as the lighting at the monorail station and the bus stop. The smell of popcorn, the Confectionary, and even the scent of the PeopleMover tunnels and the Tomorrowland Speedway - all of those things are clues that I am in a specific place.

I often go to WDW either with family or just my parents, and since we're APers, I like to head off into the parks on my own on occasion when my folks want to relax or go do something else on their own. One of my simplest pleasures is just riding the PeopleMover around Tomorrowland and seeing everything from above and relaxing somewhere comfortable. Or, I like seeing "the back side of water" on the Jungle Cruise.

I'm right there with ya! MK is my favorite park, and everything about it makes me happy cry! Lol. Rope drop show, walking down Main Street, watching Wishes, Dream along with Mickey, Celebrate the Magic, it's all so amazing and magical that nothing beats it!!

OK, I'll admit it. This 6ft, 200lbs, mid-40's guy wells up everytime that darn melody starts and those first lyrics are sung:

America, spread your golden wings
Sail on freedom's wind, across the sky
