Parked at "Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral" - update of changes

We used "Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral" for a short non-Disney cruise this past week. Here is an update of changes they have made:

PRICE: $3.99 per day - a much lower price than 3 months ago.
SELF-PARK: they no longer park your car for you.
SHUTTLE: very organized and we were off to the terminal in a few minutes. When we debarked, the shuttle was waiting for us and in a few minutes we were on our way to the lot. We did have to retrieve our car from the lot.

Overall, they continue to have great customer service. We originally chose CPPC because they parked the car for us, but, there was ample room to park the car ourselves.

Where is this in relation to the terminal? Short ride? Long wait for shuttle to fill up before boarding ship?

I had someone suggest that my husband drop us and our luggage off at the port then he go to park the car there and take the shuttle back. Do you thing this a good idea? Our kids are three five and seven.

Can one person use the shuttle to drop off and pick up car. How would you go back to the port to pick up people and luggage? Thanks for sharing as this sounds like a great money saver!

Post cruise I would plan to hop on the shuttle with my husband and kids because we want to get to the parks ASAP, but pre- cruise it sounded like a good idea, just to save on luggage tranfers.
Who knows.

CPPC is located on Cocoa Blvd. off of the 528. It's about a 10 minute ride to the Terminal.

We saw many families at CPPC. We probably waited 5 minutes to board the shuttle to the Terminal. Waited less than 5 minutes to return to the lot after debarking.

We've done this before. We did it the last cruise. Not using THAT parking place but it's the same- after the cruise and getting baggage one person took the shuttle to the vehicle and drove back to pick up everyone and the luggage. They let people in to pick up passengers that just got off the ship.

We just used them. Pre cruise it was a breeze. Post cruise not so much. We were told the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. It came about 30 minutes later and there were too many people for the shuttle. Luckily we did get on but I would have been mad if I was one of those left behind. The driver is also like 400lbs. It made me nervous to see him huffing and puffing as he put the luggage on and then drive us over these Bridges! I thought he was gonna have a heart attack and kill us all! It was cheap but next time is pay the extra money and park at the terminal!

We used them the end of January and had no issues. I plan to use them again in November when we go on the Fantasy.
