How Crowded in September?

I asked on another board, but I know this one gets more traffic. We have always gone to WDW in January when the crowds are minimal to non-existant. I went once with my Mom in March, it was extremely crowded. I'm considering a September trip (possibly with my DD) and wondering what kind of crowds to expect. It would be mid-September.

That's when we went. It's not crowded. Still hot though!

As long as you go after Labor Day, the crowds are light until the end of the month when The Food & Wine Festival begins. It can be pretty hot, though. We went the first week in October last year, and the heat was awful, and I live in GA!

I agree with this completely. We usually always go in September, after Labor Day and after the kids have gone back to school.

It is hot as the face of the sun, though! Be prepared if you've never been that time of year.

Its nice that time of year crowd wise, kids being back to school. Its still summer like here in good old humid Florida. Some days upper 80's and low 90's.

It was so hot last year that our group has decided to change our plans to skip F&W and go in a cooler month!

Haha! Good choice! I will hate missing F&W, but I won't miss the heat.

I don't eat onions-they squelch when you bite into them
I don't eat raisins-they look like dried up bugs
Can we say food issues?

I've been in Sept and Jan. Sept is slightly more crowded than Jan but still very low crowds. We had very short waits with only the major headliners getting 40+ mins of wait time, and then only 2 or 3 actually had that. If it wasn't so blasted hot in Sept, I'd go again, but the humidity was just miserable and while it was managable it was just too hot unless I really wanted a good deal. I second October (unless it's the value season you are after). I went the third week and it was much more agreeable tempeture wise though it was more crowded due to F&W.

Well, it's nice to hear crowds are low but the heat? Ack!

I wasn't really thinking about that, since here in Michigan in September it starts cooling off nicely and usually no more humidity.

Maybe I'll want to re-think going in September...

But in order to use my pin code that's the month we'd go, I did a mock booking for November and it's several hundred dollars more to go then.

We've always enjoyed January, I wish the pin code extended that far.
