Peter Fan, are you at least female?
You're the one who thinks you know all about what everybody else is feeling.

No... maybe at 14 with a cell phone. FWIW my DD is very skittish and we end up having to split on rides all the time.

See if you can do child swap.

What are they doing in the bathroom in front of everybody that makes them feel so uncomfortable?

No, I'm talking about what my own daughter is feeling. For you to imply that I don't know what she thinks is rather odd.

That's irrelevant. It's not up to you or me to judge others on what makes them uncomfortable. Women's restrooms were built for WOMEN. Society allows for young boys simply because they shouldn't be left alone but beyond that it gets ridiculous.

Plus my own pet peeve is that Mom and all of the kids (and maybe Aunt Sue and Uncle Joe ) all going to the bathroom together makes the already outrageous lines even worse.

Just get her to stand in line with you, then let her use the "chicken exit" as you board the ride. Then she can wait for you at the end. She will only be alone for the few minutes you're on the ride & she'll get to go thru the line with you & see the theming. She might even change her mind and ride with you!

We're talking about a 12-year-old, right? Assuming the 12YO was in the range of normal development and I had fastpasses, I would not hesitate to leave her alone for a little while. Probably not in the gift shop though, just because I think she'd get bored and fidgety quickly. Instead, I'd get her a snack and sit her on a bench on that street headed towards RNRC and TOT, and leave her with an iphone or something that can occupy her for a little while.

Really? We all know what women do in restroom stalls. Teens who are first using pads and tampons for their periods feel uncomfortable with an older boy in the restroom with the gap in the door.

Colleges have coed bathrooms now? Didn't know that.

Totally agree. pre-teens and teens are crazy about that gap in the door. As a 40-something, I recognize they are being unreasonably concerned, but I can still remember (barely) feeling the same way. I didn't even want other females to be able to see in.

Exactly you are in a stall. Nobody is peeking through the cracks. Get over yourself!
