Central Florida to Miami cruisers

HOW are you getting to Miami?

Rental cars are much more expensive on a one way rental.

There's the hassle factor of dropping people at port, going to airport to drop the car and getting back to port.

But I'm not seeing any way around it. HELP!

HOW I WISH we were sailing out of PC.

Are you flying into Orlando?

Several of the rental companies have no charge for a one-way rental. check around for rates. It also wasn't a big deal to drop my kids and luggage at the port in Miami, go across the bridge back into downtown Miami and park (I live in north Florida so drove to Miami and parked in a cheap lot downtown). I'm sure the car rental agencies have somewhere closer than the airport to return cars, and then just catch a taxi back to the port.

Heh, well don't take a limo! We live here so we will just drive our car. But I thought on a whim I would check to see how much a limo would cost. I figured if I had to pay $100 for port parking plus a hotel, I might as well check. Not including tolls or a 20% tip.....$800 each way.

For $2000, I'll pick you up in Orlando and drive you to Miami!

We are renting from Budget. Picking up in Kissimmee since we will be there the night before. We used the code: Y937800 and got a one way to miami for a Ford Fusion for $36 ($42 ish we fees). Returning to Miami - 2nd street. They do not have a shuttle to the port but, only $10 for taxi. This is the best rates we found and we searched a lot.

Thanks for the code Waverunner! You just saved me about $50! Also look into the drop off location in South Beach -M1B. It looks like they may have a shuttle. I m going to call tomorrow to find out.

Woo. That's an awesome deal! Not sure my 4 adults and 8 bags plus carryons will fit in a Fusion, though.

Linda I tried that web site but they do not go to Miami. I too wish it was out of PC. I was hoping that DCL would off some transportation from WDW but they are not offering a thing.

My TA pointed me to this site, when I asked her last night.

http://www.thefloridaexpressbus.com/...locations.html

They DO go to Miami, and, if you don't mind getting up darn early, they go directly to port.
