Booking advise please

On board the Fantasy I booked future cruise dates to get the on board credit but plan on sailing on dates not released. How can I get the most incentives? Do agencies add incentives on top of on board credit from cruise line or lower prices?

Several agencies/agents will provide an OBC on top of DCL's booking incentive. Since you did not name an agency/agent while making the booking, DCL will reduce the commission paid to the agent when you transfer the booking over to them. This will be crucial for you to research...the agency/agent you use may reduce (or even altogether remove/not offer) the OBC they normally provide had the booking been named to them first thing.

If you do plan on transferring your booking over, ask questions first! How much OBC will they provide for a transferred booking.

As above--if you name an agency at the time of an on board booking, they get the full commission. If you transfer a reservation to an agency after booking, they get a reduced commission (sort of reflects the fact that they didn't do the booking work).

As a result of lowered commissions, some agencies will reduce the amount of onboard credit or other perk they give. Others have a "standard" onboard credit based on type of cabin/length of cruise and give their "full" amount in hopes that it will result in your future business.

As above, before you transfer a booking, know what you can expect to receive.
