AP update to RFID news? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Okay - read on a different board about AP holders being able to update current passes to ones with RFID technology March 20-May 19 at the Odyssey Center in Epcot. Okay - cool - I'm going in that time frame.

But is this announcement official someplace? I can't find it on a Disney website and I didn't get notice as a passholder, either.

Anyone know when MYW tickets will definitely be issued with RFID technology? I'm going in May with a group and some of us will have annual passes, other just base tickets, but I'd like us to be able to use the same turnstiles. I wanted to pre-buy tickets soon instead of waiting until we get there.

The new RFID passes are being distributed to AP's... I just got mine changed over a week ago. There's no word when all passes will be the RFID ones, nor when the magic bands will be distributed. But all tickets are accepted through the old turnstiles, so no worries!
