Question Picky eaters! Where to eat in the "area" of AK?

My family has picky eaters and none of the table service places to eat sound good to them. What other places out side of but in the same area are there? Hotels?

We will be using the RDP if that makes any difference?

Did they look at the huge menu at Rain Forest Cafe? They have burgers and such.

If it doesn't have to be a sit down, Mara at AKL has a nice selection. We stop by there when eating at Jiko to grab zebra domes. Yum!

Even though Boma at AKL sounds exotic, it's a Disney buffet. Yes, it has some very different foods, but it also has a full complement of picky-eater-friendly Disney standards like chicken nuggets, macaroni, and pizza. That area may be referred to as the "kids' section" but at WDW all guests can select freely from all sections of a buffet. Not at all unusual to see a dad in the kid's area loading his plate, and a 7 year old getting a bit of steak and couple fancy salads and some veggie dish whose name I can't even pronounce.

So long as the child is old enough to carry his/her own plate and fill it neatly, sometimes the best course is to turn them loose on the buffet line and not comment on their choices. They may be more likely to try something if there's no pressure or hovering from a parent.
