Dry Shampoo
Does it really get your hair clean? If so what are some good brands

I have tried the drugstore brands Loreal and Tresemme (?spelling). They both seemed to work for a couple of hours but after that my hair looked flat and dirty again.
I would like to try some of the salon type brand name ones to see if there is any difference but have not got around to it yet. |

Would love to be able to sit on the couch for a few days, get a good book, and do NOTHING!

Dry shampoo is not meant to clean your hair.
It is used to "extend" the look of your hair between washings. Sprayed in at the roots, it will fluff up the roots and take away any oily look. Besides that part, I have heard that it is a good styling tool for fine, limp hair. Haven't tried it myself.

Dirty Little Secret is the brand I use. As the pp said it doesn't clean hair...just removes the oil. Sometimes I spray it in my hair before I go to bed if I am wearing my hair up the next day so it doesn't look greasy at the roots. I love it. I think it is $20 a can.

There was a discussion on this not to long ago on this board about dry shampoo. I have try multiple brands and found a brand called Not Your Mothers - Clean Freak the best out of all that you can buy at regular stores such as Walmart and CVS.
I like the smell and it last a lot longer than any other brand I have tried. My daughter and niece use it after their school sports classes then to the practices after school to keep their hair looking fresh and smelling good instead of sweat and oily. My family has very oily heads and we have to wash our heads everyday. I use it when I get up in the mornings and have to take my daughters to school before I get my bath. The second closes is the Dove brand but Not Your Mother is the best hands down. It is in a white can with some green on it. I have found it at Walmart and cvs. |

I like Redken's PowderFresh. Almost every brand makes one these days.
