I am going to D.C. in April to run the Nike woman's half. I have never been to D.C. so I am taking a few days to see the city. I would like to go to one of the beach towns on the Texas gulf coast for a few days but not sure if that will happen this spring.

I am traveling with another teacher and 23 high school students to Argentina for a two week service trip! I will stay behind for a few days explore Patagonia!

Definitely haven't thought that far ahead. Probably grad school visits, so the north-east.

. My best friend moved there a year ago. Our kids are the same age (her twins and my youngest were roommates in the NICU

) and are all besties. We are going to do the zoo, children's museum and maybe Hershey park.

Hilton Head! We've never been there before, and it's been a while since we've had a beach vacation. We're going to take a day to go to Savannah, too.

If - and it is a big if right now due to my dad's stage 4 prostate cancer - we go anywhere it will be to Anaheim to DL and some time to visit DD at USC.

Driving to Galveston for an 8 night Disney cruise.

We are sailing with extended family. 10 paid and confirmed with a possible 4 more.

Most likely we will be sitting home as usual. DD18 is going to college and their break is really short compared to high school and grade school.

Besides we can't afford to do or go any place special any way. Maybe we can at least take the train up to see my dad since I haven't seen him since we moved here. Been a little over 2 years. I miss him.

Time off with pay is funny. Places DW and I started at started you at 3 weeks, and after 5 years it went to 4. My current place starts you at 2, you go to 3 after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, and 5 weeks after 30 years. DW place starts at 2, 3 after 5, 4 after 10, 5 after 15 and 6 after 20.

Then there is our friend who gets no paid time off, or paid sick time, no paid holidays. You can take all the time off you want without pay. But the Christmas bonus this year was equal to 30% of your base pay, it has never been less than 25% of base pay in the 17 years she has worked there, so it is a trade off, I guess.

Working as much as I can to save up for next year's Disney trip!

I'm a part time college student with a somewhat limited work schedule so it will be completely open that week! LOL

At least it is somewhat Disney related
