Cozemel was our last stop and best shopping. Our favorite bar waiter sent us to this huge supermart and they had huge selection great prices. After an afternoon at Señor Frogs we went through the duty free shops on the way back to the ships and there they had great deals also. No one bothered about it when we returned to ship and no one bothered us at customs just breezed through... I want to back so bad... Loved cruising the Magic!

Not sure if you are correct on this.....In Cozumel recently they asked if I wanted to take my purchase with me or have it delivered to the ship ( they had a form for me to fill out if I wanted it delivered to the ship) andd I thingk this is also true for GC

The stores in port deal with many different cruise lines and may not be aware of DCL policy. From the DCL website:

The security of our Guests, crew and ship is our highest priority at Disney Cruise Line. As a result, third-party deliveries are prohibited in our ports of call. Guests are welcome to return to the ship with purchases made in port as long as those items can be examined by ship security upon boarding

So you can buy it, but have to carry it back to the ship yourself.

Limes?

Along these lines...

What about bringing limes on board? My tropical drink of choice is a Margarita. I seem to remember Fla being nutsy about bring fruit into the state.

I'm fairly certain there are limes available on board. DCL only allows sealed, pre-packaged food items to be brought on board. So you are unable to bring your own, regardless of any rules FL may or may not have .

There are definitely limes on board. I asked for a lime with every beer I ordered last year on the Magic.. If you're making your own drinks you could either order a water with a lime or just ask for a few lime slices!

We could see this place from our balcony when we docked. Very short walk from the ship:

Stopped in this place on St. John. They had frozen drinks and you pour your own rum in...as much as you want.

The bartenders don't mind if you ask for some lemon or lime slices, I like lime in my Diet Coke from the dispenser. And rum too.

Ha! I use a lime for each drink. Perhaps our room host will work for a good tip.
